Vacation

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Space, location, and view
Cons: Asking for anything more would be selfish.
Location: On the balcony we could hear sea lions, and watch the boats. There is so many things to do and see you need to spend a week here.
Seven of us stayed at this condo. Ages ranging from sixty-five to three. There was enough room for all of us in comfort. Will stay here again.

Honeymoon

Posted Mar 22, 2015
We loved our room but we're shocked upon booking in that our room did not have a kitchen with a stove in it we would not have paid such a high price for no stove or regular sized fridge. Other than that the hotel was beautiful and comfortable.

Nice view of the bay

Posted Mar 17, 2015
The hotel is laid out very poorly. There is no easy access to the courtyard or boat slips unless you stay on the 1st floor. Have never stayed anywhere that was more noisy. You can literally hear every move the people make above you. Do not stay in any room close to the elevator as you will hear it all night long.

Close to be bay

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Location, clean, quiet
Location: There are places to see and food to be found.
The room(s), 2-bedrooms, was great. Looked out on the bay and the boat harbor. Non-Smoking facility (designated locations only) It was quiet and relaxing. I would have liked to have had more time there. Maybe there will be a next time. *down side - there was a man smoking on the next door deck. I opened the sliding door and stepped out right into a cloud of smoke. Good part he soon finished and went inside. Only once.

Very Homey

Posted Mar 2, 2015
These are small condos, well equipped and convenient to the downtown Bay Front. The units are individually owned and some are rented on a nightly basis. The complex faces the Bay and Yaquina Bridge making for a terrific view. Most units have small terraces so that you can sit outside and enjoy both the view and the weather. There are full kitchens with basic cooking utensils if you wish to prepare you own meals. Minimal maid service is provided each day. We have found the Landmark to be a most pleasant place to stay while in the Newport area and were especially pleased when staying this time to find they have upgraded the wireless service. In a previous stay we had been without internet for the entire stay which is difficult these days.

Studio Condo by Newport Harbor

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Everything was clean, neat and comfortable.
Cons: The studio unit is not set up for cooking - no stove, hot plate or fan. It's not a problem but people should know in case they want to cook.
Location: It's a short drive to the beach, Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, shops, etc.
This was our first time staying overnight in Newport, and we made a good choice. The studio apartment had a large room (king bed) with three large windows overlooking the harbor, bay and bridge. There was also a gas fireplace, cozy furniture and nice, simple decor. The kitchen area had a counter with stools to sit and eat. There was a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Also a nice flat screen TV mounted on the wall. If you like a pleasant walk, there is a sidewalk going about one half mile to the shops and restaurants. There is also a nice restaurant at the hotel next door.

Small for people over 6 feet tall

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Great view and was able to find everything I needed to cook dinner and breakfast.
Cons: Better couch, bigger dining table - have staff be proactive on asking if we were going to use the sofa sleeper...
Everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to towels, were provided so that was much appreciated. We are a tall family and found that the couch and dining table was too short and small for comfort. Also, we used the sofa sleeper and it was very uncomfortable. We were told on the way out that we could have asked for a memory foam mattress....

renting a condo instead of motel

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Cons: More comfortable furniture and mattress
We love renting the condo because it is like a apartment with a Bath and a half. So much more room. The view of the boat dock and bay was beautiful. Had TV in both living room and bedroom on the other end of condo. Condo was decorated really cute, nice kitchen. all set up to do any cooking. We went to Local Ocean restaurant was terrible and spendy. I
