“Newport Waves-- counting the days until I return!”

The employees were very helpful recommending restaurants, directions to the beach & other sites; and answered all questions graciously! The room was clean, great view of the beach; and motel has an elevator!

“Wave @ Newport”

Fair motel, views are obstructed in some rooms by power lines. Nothing very close as far as food goes so you would need to drive. There are a few places within a mile or twenty minute walk. Room was fair but not exceptional in any way, TV was only a 32" LCD, where most lodging provides you with a 40". Lighting was a bit inadequate for my aging eyes to read by on those dark, wet days.

“Not impressed”

Was put on 3rd floor, told front desk I had injured my back, no offer of another room. Staff unfriendly, barley spoke & did not even look up from what he was doing when I checked out. Rooms are old & decor outdated. Only plus was they accepted pets with smaller than usual fee. Hotel is NOT oceanfront, just ocean view. Beach is a 3-4 block walk for access.

“Will not go back”

Staff not very helpful. I had trouble with the TV remote and was handed the manual to program the universal remote..it didn't work. Went back down and was handed another remote and had to program it. The caretaker had a bit of an attitude, as if he was inconvenienced. I was tempted to check out, but thought of the hassle since I had already paid. The room is old and a bit stinky in the afternoon when west side gets hot. Continental breakfast was pathetic. Next evening really regretted staying...found fleas in my room..on my bed. Pets are accepted at this hotel, I knew this but did not expect the fleas. I stayed 2 nights, never again!!
