Very conveniently located, walking distance to all main attractions in Oslo city center. The tram line stop for #12, 13, 19, as well as the bus #30 are on the same street as the hotel, one block away. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very basic, no refrigerator in room, but clean. The best part was daily complementary breakfast buffet. Since everything in Oslo is very expensive and for those of us on a budget, this one good meal of the day was great.

The Clarion Christiania Hotel could not have been more convenient for us. We took the Flytoget train from Oslo airport to the Central Train Station. We walked out the Karl Johan Gate exit from the train station, looked across the street to the right and saw the hotel -- two minute walk. While this is not the most charming area of Oslo, it is
no more than a 10 minute walk to just about anywhere in central Oslo -- Opera House, City Hall, Peace Center, the restaurants of Aker Brygge, etc. Also, bus and tram service to the other parts of Oslo is readily available in front of the train station. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. Our standard size double room was a good size and had a separate area with a desk and sofa which was much appreciated. We were on the 6th floor facing the street at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We were very satisfied and would stay there again.

I stayed in the Scandic for three nights and would stay there again. The location is amazing. Just off Oslo's main streets and close to the ferry port yet far enough from both that you don't get disturbed at night.
The staff were very friendly, and accommodating and the breakfast buffet had everything you could want.
If I was being hyper critical the duvet was a little on the small side and it would have been nice to have more than one pillow but none of this ruined my stay.
I'd certainly stay there again and if you are looking for something reasonably priced in Oslo (not easy) you could do far worse

The centre of Scandinavia's oldest capital is home to most of the city's landmarks, museums, and hotels. Architecturally significant buildings include the City Hall, the Royal Palace in Slottsgarten, the parliament building on Stortinget, the Akershus Castle, and the Resistance Museum. Edvard Munch's “Scream” hangs in the National Gallery.
