Great for what we needed...

Posted Apr 7, 2014
My friend and I drove up to Killington after work which was a 6 hr drive. We needed a place to crash for the night before hitting the mtn the next day. The Highlander was perfect and was great for what we paid.

Highlander Motel - Rutland

Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Staff
Cons: Price could be lower.
Location: Killington Mountain - that's it.
Overall, expensive for the room we received, but hotel staff was wonderful, and beds/bathroom were clean. Can't ask for much more besides a lower price! Would recommend for a ski outing (about 15 minutes from Killington) or summer outing.

Inexpensive, basic room

Posted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds
Cons: Older infrastructure, including sink and toilet that could be updated, but with such a reasonable rate easy to overlook a lot of cosmetic issues.
Location: Seems to be a safe area, right on Main Street but little traffic noise. Great family restaurant directly across the street.
Nothing fancy about this place. Clean room, staff was helpful at checkin. Room was inexpensive and available when most hotels in the area were full for the weekend or wanted three times as much for a night.

Great for the Price

Posted Jan 28, 2013
It was quite a deal and in the town of Rutland. Owned by a nice family that I am sure works their butts off to make it as nice as possible. Not luxury by any means, but for the money, worth it. Not saying was great, just a hell of a deal for the money.

Could not wait to leave

The Motel room was tiny, smelled and was cold. The bathroom was microscopic. I had to perform gymnastics just to get to and use the toilet. The water was hot though. They shut the wireless internet and cable TV off except for 1 channel before I could check out of the room on my scheduled departure which frustrated me.
