Convenient location, friendly staff

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Hotel staff was very friendly but the hotel itself looked like it was in shambles. They're going through a renovation and you could tell. We had a make shift cooling unit in our room that disconnected in the middle of the night blowing out heat (in July). There was a stained towel in the bathroom. Very old and shabby.

Amelia saved the day (night)

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The location is central to everything.
Cons: Like any other hotel in Vermont (or New England for that matter) it could use a facelift. The prices would certainly be much higher in that case...
Location: The hotel is centrally located to everything. The gondola to the top of the mountain is a mile away. There are 10 restaraunts within 2 minutes.
A large group of very loud teenagers on a retreat ran up and down the hallway outside my door until I couldn't take the constant noise for one more second. One of the teenagers actually entered my room because the door was left ajar. I went to the front desk and ordered the receptionist (Amelia) to take care of the situation ASAP or I would call the police. Within a few minutes she personally escorted me and my luggage to the best room in the hotel far from the noise. I felt like the most important person in the hotel at that moment. She obviously knew that I was very angry and she took the situation under control and calmed me down. This is what I would have expected at a 5 star resort. She didn’t call her boss, she just did what she had to do. This is what customer service is all about. I had a very pleasant stay and a very good nights sleep. Thank you again Amelia.

Clean, comfortable, good value for $$

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Basic, good location, comfortable bed, quiet, friendly staff, full hot breakfast, tennis court and hot tub, all at an affordable price. Some furniture and fixtures are showing their age and the effects many winter beatings, but a renovation is in progress. Good value and just right if the aim is to have a clean quiet place to crash after a day outside.

Mountain off season

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Staff were very pleasant and breakfast was cooked to order since the buffet during busy season was not served. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Hotel needs ongoing painting and refurbishing- furniture, panelling in halls, wallpaper. Very neat and clean. Needs flat screen tvs.
Location: Killington ski area- mountain biking
Very convenient to ski area. Golf course behind hotel. View of the mountain

The rooms were very clean and roomy' the price was wonderful; the staff were all friendly. The most surprising thing was the "free" breakfast we enjoyed. It was not the normal fare of cereal, muffins, fruit, etc. The server came to your table asked what you would like to order off a menu they provided and then your meal was cooked to your preferences. It was tasty and more than an ample amount of food. The hotel was advertised to be five miles from where we had activities to attend but was further out than that but my husband and I decided the scenery was nice as well as the accommodations so we kept our reservations after the first day.

Nice place to stay for families

Posted May 25, 2015
We were very pleased with our experience at the hotel. The staff was kind and friendly, the facilities were all well-maintained. We enjoyed the indoor pool with a dedicated lap swimming lane and hot tub. We had rooms on the top floor which had nice high ceilings. The complementary breakfast was also very good.

What a let down...

Posted May 5, 2015 on Hotels
This place is in keeping with typical Killington standards. The carpets are worn and torn, the furniture in the room was either seriously worn or dirty, the very cheap mattress didn't have a mattress pad. Add extremely low quality, rough sheets and you probably don't have a good night's rest. The rooms have DVD players. Nice, right? You'll have to watch on an old fashioned, cathode ray tube TV. That is tiny. Your tablet or even smartphone will be a far better viewing experience. The building, location and staff are great, so all they need to do is update and deliver a reasonable amount of quality with sheets, towels, furniture and the like. But this is Killington. Why change now?

We appreciate your comments. Guest feedback is our best tool for self imrovement. We would like you to know that we have been purchased recently and are moving forward with upgrades in our public areas and guest rooms. Most of this should be completed by next ski season. We hope that you will stop back to see our improvements.

Great view of the mountain.

The hotel was purchased by a new owner who will spend 3Mill to renovate it. As an architect I see a need for a great Architectural firm to improve the property. This will be a sleeper of a place to stay I'm Killington.
