MLK ski weekend

Great place for a reasonable price right in the middle of the mountains and party scene. Rooms are nice and big, good stay for a lodge style.

The hotel rooms were basic and a little dated, but clean. The staff was very friendly though and the outdoor pool can't be beat.

Not worth the money

Posted Oct 13, 2014
The amount of money they charge for room is outragous for what they have in it.The bed was so hard and the sheets and pillows felt like paper. There was no coffee pot, the tv was a 13 inch out dated tube model. Very dissaponted in the amount of money we paid for the room. The only good thing there was the outside heated pool.

Booked this room for the spartan beast in sept. They double their rates for this weekend. So don't expect a 4 star anything. It is exactly what you would expect for its normal rate. Room was clean and comfortable. No fridges in room. The microwave was down in the lobby and was from 1984.

Nice Stay in Killington

Posted Aug 22, 2014
My boyfriend and I decided to visit Vermont because it was the only state in New England we haven't been to. We arrived around 1pm and were able to check-in which was great because it was pouring out and we were unfamiliar with the area and my phone was about to die which is one of the worst feelings in the world. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful, giving us a map of the area and telling us which restaurants were open (there weren't many as summer is clearly their off season). Our king room was on the 5th floor which they call the "penthouse floor" but there was nothing special about it. The room was on the small side and pretty outdated but we really didn't mind. Our view was a bunch of trees in front of a tennis court that I don't believe belongs to the lodge and the t.v. was one I haven't seen in about 15yrs. A little tube t.v. that has no HDMI inputs for the XBOX we brought up for Netflix (yeah, we're that couple- newly addicted to Orange is the New Black).. not a deal breaker, just inconvenient but we looked at is as a "break" from our norm. A little bummed that the lounge wasn't opened at all but again summer is their off season. The only thing that I disliked about staying here is that it's about a 20min ride to get anywhere. Overall, I enjoyed our stay in Killington and if you stay, the gondola ride is a must. It's a beautiful area in a beautiful state, and that's for a summer stay. I can only imagine what it's like in the winter.
