“loved the view but not impressed with service”
First off the view was unbelievable from our balcony room. the guy at the front desk was very nice.. Im kind of having a 50-50 thought of going back here cos it was cheap.. throughout the hotel there was this smell that i can't really explain but i couldn't stand it i had a buy lysol for my room.. the room was overall clean but we went friday n stayed till sunday.. not once was my room clean! we came back in after a wonderful day of sightseeing to find that our room was not clean and it was just the way we left it! and also the room heater did not work so we were freezing. Also it said we would be provided a breakfast.. the breakfast consisted of orange juice that tasted days old, toast, and bagels that was all.. the room that it was served in was not clean the cups hanging had dust everywhere! and breakfast was said to be open till 11.. they rushed us and closed it at 10:05 not even 2 seconds of walking in because the guy wanted to go home.. I wasn't happy with the stay but what can i say now.. it happened.. just make sure u bring lysol when you go to spray down your room
“Helpful staff; good location”
The staff were very helpful, and location was good (close to the ski slopes).
“Nice hotel by the slopes”
Simple but very nice hotel. Close to Killington Snowshed Lodge. Friendly staff and a very good bar with live jazz. Rooms are spacious and clean. Continental breakfast is inclueded and there is also a good steak house.
“Awesome stay will definately be going back...”
I read the previous reviews and still decided to go with this choice and was very happy with my decision. The staff we came in contact with was always warm, friendly and helpful. The front desk manager made us feel like royality. He was helpful, always smiling, and never seemed irritated with my husband millions of questions. I would recomment this place for location (we walked to 3 of the ski lodges) and hospitality. Yes the walls are kinda thin, but for the price and location, you can't beat it. We loved our vacation and will be going back again. Someone give the front desk manager a raise!!
“Great value & staff”
Convenient location, friendly staff. Bathroom was a bit small but overall a good value.
“Not impressed”
It's in a great location, but the quality of the hotel rooms are horrible. The bathroom sink is located where you sleep, pretty awkward and outdated. ALso, we had these noisy girls in the room next to us the entire weekend and it was almost as if they were in our room. only thing in between us was an inch thick of sheet rock and an ajoinging door in the room. THEY WERE SO LOUD! they woke us up every night with their singing and rudeness. THey were asked to be quiet several times. Everything in the hotel shuts down early. We arrived there on a thursday night, it looked like a set up of like a haunted hotel out of a movie. We were the only ones there. THey left the key for our room in an envelope and just to check ourselves in the room. It was creepy. Benefit of staying here, it's convenient to everything. Would I recommend this to someone? Eh, I'd recommend they stay at the Killington Grand for nicer quality, I mean it is a vacation after all.
“Might go back”
We only stayed for one night. Our stay was average. The only complain I have is the owner should have the driveway and parking lot paved, lots of holes, it almost ruined my car. The view of the mountain is breathtaking!
“Nice off-season location too!”
We really enjoyed ourselves at Killington, even in the summer its cold up in the mountains, our ears were popping as we drove up the mountain to the Inn. There was a gas fireplace in our room, very romantic, just wasn't able to turn it off & it got stuffy! Bathroom was immaculate! We were planning on going to the steakhouse, it was closed for the summer :( Not Good Bring your GPS, especially if your driving at night. Our GPS led us up the back ''Mountain road'', no lights, very dark long winding road up mountain..... scary, and I'm a country girl too! Dont take the first left up Mountain Road, take the next left closer towards Killington Village, better signage & lighting Word of advice; we arrived late in the Killington area & it was so difficult to find somewhere to eat, so bring snacks or get there early eve for if your planning on going out for dinner, everywhere was closed by 9.30pm - Arrraaaaggghhhh! We drove 30 miles to next town to find a resturant :( But all in all, it was a lovely trip Woodstock next town over is beautiful, class!!
“maybe again”
Staff were able to help us with anything we asked for, so long as we asked for it. 2 of the 3 people working the desk were great; 1 of them tried to avoid contact. NOISY!
“A great option to stay when skiing Killington.”
A great experience and value all-around.
