It's obvious they are trying to make repairs to this older motel. Rooms have been painted, but still have some little details that need work. The package of toiletries included some KY lubricant which I thought was a bit presumptive of them.

“OK if you just want a clean bed to sleep in”

I would love to give this place a good score but I just can't. If the lights were really dim and you couldn't see the painted over chipped plaster and poor remodeling you wouldn't mind it. It smelled and looked clean (no mold, dirt, or filth, clean sheets & towels) and the bed was very nice. The biggest problem is it looked run down.

It was as billed, inexpensive no frills and close to the race

Although old and in need of some repairs, this hotel was conveniently located and clean.

“Clean but bad piping”

I couldn't turn on the heater so everything was cold. Plus pipes in the bathroom rattled all night. Pretty clean though

“There was not hot water in the shower”

The level of comfort was disappointing since the shower never had hot water even after running the water for 15 minutes. The wall around the window was unfinished as there were bare 2 by 4's as window moldings.

“Don' t go there in the wintertime”

Might be alright in the summer, but heating system banged away all night; kept waking me up, so had to check out in the morning. In the Ascutney area, would recommend the Claremont Motel, 4 miles east in Claremont NH.

“Not a good room”

The hotel was sold out that particular night so when I asked about staying the next night they had plenty of space and mentioned that a much better room would be available. The room I had was in need of lots of basic maintainance / paint /curtains etc.. The bed was not as bad as the rest of the room. I did not return for the next night.
