Perfect hotelPosted Nov 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The location is exceptional - hidden away in the valley, very quiet and charming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What really stuck us though was the quality of the service, with the entire staff being friendly, attentive and accommodating. Very efficient and pleasant service. The casa andina chachapoyas is the place to stay in the region.

Could be a gem, but...Posted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: The surroundings are beautiful & staff very helpful
Cons: Free shuttles in & out of Chachapoyas
Location: We had just 2 days & so chose Kuelap one day & Gocta falls the next. Both were great days
This hotel really is something special but its location is problematic. Not because it isn't beautiful - it really is - but because EVERYONE, including the hotel itself, charges very high rates to access anything. The local tour company the hotel uses charges 1/2 again what people on the same tour pay from town & the hotel itself charges very high rates for a shuttle to nearby Chachapoyas. The staff are amazing, the environment, stunning but the access and prices are poor.
