Lovely visit...Posted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Our room was lovely and the general shared space was so inviting with the fireplace and comfortable seating.
Cons: Breakfast service ended very early for us as we were being leisurely. Our suggestion would be at least breads and coffee available later.
Location: Everything was close by for visiting the area.
The Fairville Inn was wonderful, lovely setting, comfortable accommodations and helpful staff. The restaurant suggestions were spot-on and we enjoyed a great stay.

Lovely views, thoughtful service, tasteful innPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a renewing 4-day stay while seeing the sights on a long trip home from a family wedding. The innkeeper and staff were really interested in making us comfortable and helping us with small things we needed, including providing a coffee pot in the room so I could wake up before having to dress and go down to breakfast. Our 2nd floor room had a lovely view down a meadow onto the pond. The furnishings were tasteful and comfortable, although the bed sagged a bit in the middle. The only drawback was a huge ugly dog that one innkeeper insisted on allowing to follow him into the breakfast/tea room in the main house while we ate.

An inn from another centuryPosted Jul 4, 2013
Pros: We liked the privacy of our accommodations (the carriage house) contrasted with the congeniality of the main building itself.
Location: Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Brandywine Museum, Brandywine Battlefield
Easy to find and close to what we wanted to see (The Brandywine Museum and a tour of Anrew Wyeth's studio). The accomodations were spotless and comfortable and the hospitality terrific. Beautiful grounds and attentive staff. Would go back in a heartbeat but we would need to stay longer next time.

Very Comfortable and Cozy InnPosted Nov 27, 2012
Location: Very pretty setting, yet super convenient to things.
We stayed there over Thanksgiving and went to Longwood Gardens from there. Fairville Inn is just lovely. The owners and their staff make you feel very welcome. We would be very happy to go back!

Extremely uncomfortable bed..hard as a rock with nothing between the springs and the mattress cover. Had a thin flannel mattress pad under the sheet. We could feel the actual springs. Room was pretty and the view was lovely but it smelled musty in the room, the water in the bathroom had an off odor, and the shower had difficulty keeping and even temperature. -

Nice in every respectPosted Oct 7, 2011
For the area we wanted to visit this Bed and Breakfast was perfect. It was close to all of the attractions we wanted to see and the people at the hotel were very helpful with assistance. The rooms were very nice and exceptionally clean. A very nice tea in the afternoon and cooked breakfast in the morning.

Fantastic B & BPosted Sep 10, 2011 on Hotels.com
This was our first stay at a B&B and could not have been happier, all of the conveniences of a modern hotel but in a charming, historic and comfortable home. Staff was very helpful choosing restaurants and breakfast was delicious. We had a great weekend getaway not too far from home, but would recommend it to anyone!
