“Excellent hotel in a very small community. I will be back!”

Howard Johnson's of Oacoma, SD is a wonderful place to rest after being on the road all day! The rooms are large, clean, and quiet! The continental breakfast included every imaginable breakfast food and it was fresh! I feel fortunate to have found this hotel and I highly recommend staying here.

Nice, clean hotel. Breakfast was ok, not a lot of variety.

“Very nice hotel.”

This is a nice hotel. We had no problems with check-in/check-out. Our room was nice and big. We need a room with 3 beds and this hotel had it without having to use a fold-out sofa. We used the pool area which was clean and nice. The pool is small but that was not a concern to us. The breakfast area had a lot of choices.

I didn't have any issues with the front desk as others have noted. Quick check in/out, above average breakfast, weak workout facility but it had what I needed, very satisfied. Thanks!

“Easy, Cheap, Nice!”

Very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool is open 24 hours so my husband and I were able to sneak in once the little ones fell asleep. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was nice. Overall a good experience!

“Everything was fine except...”

We have no complaints about the HJ we stayed in last week...except one. The young woman who checked us in was less than friendly. We felt like we were bothering her. The desk wasn't busy when we checked in, so it wasn't like she was too distracted by other work. Everything else was fine, so if you'd don't mind a somewhat icy reception, you'll be very happy.

“Weak at the desk”

Overall very good, but the desk saff seemed o be inexperienced. Simply I got double billed. Once by Expedia and once by the hotel. After a little trouble making contact, the hotel manager was very understanding and fixed the problem.

Clean and comfortable for the price, nothing fancy but worked great for us. We really appreciated that this is smoke-free hotel.

“very thin walls”

I was amazed the wall must have no insulation in them. You could hear all the peoples conversions in the adjoining rooms. Hotel look very nice, but I would suggest the Days Inn across the street.
