“Alternative to Illini Union Hotel”

If you have business on the UIUC campus and can't get a room at the Union Hotel, this is a nice alternative. The hotel is about a 12-minute walk to Illini Union -- quite doable in the Spring and Summer, but perhaps not as nice in the Winter. There is 24-hour complimentary coffee and tea service in the lobby -- a useful amenity for those who are working at the 11th hour on their conference presentations! Not much else going on nearby, other than campus. For that reason, the hotel is superb, as the rooms are clean and comfortable and a respite from all the other things one has to do while in the area.

“The Best”

We had the room which featured two queen size beds with a sleeper sofa. It turned out to be a very large suite...it was perfect. It had everything one could want. This was my first stay over visiting my son who is a freshman. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. A1!!

Reasonably priced and wonderful breakfast buffet (free I might add). By far the best of its kind I have ever been to.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. It should be rated a 3+ star hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room is larger than most, with free wi-fi internet. Breakfast bar larger than most, with a good assortment of foods including waffles. Plenty of parking. Hotel is next door to a Perkins restaurant. Room service is available, and prices are reasonable. There is also an indoor swimming pool. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

“Champaign-Urbana's best hotel”

Excellent staff. Quiet, clean and well apportioned rooms. Best hotel I've stayed in 10 years (whether one star or 4 star).

“Good Location”

The hotel is located at the north end of the U of I campus. Perkins Restaurant was very good & it's right next door.
