Red Roof

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: It is close to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the freeway.
Cons: The room we got was pretty run-down. The air conditioner was rather noisy. In your defense, we know you are upgrading the rooms.
Location: Mentioned above.
We were disappointed in the condition of the hotel. It looked like a crew was in the process of of updating the grounds. A lot of material was stored near our room and we saw a crew getting ready to work, as we were leaving.

One of the worst hotels I've seen

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and that was about it.
Cons: A thorough cleaning and a bit more care for the rooms.
Location: You are a mile or so from downtown Champaign, which has lots of restaurants and bars. Another mile on Neil Street and you hit U of I campus.
When I first walked in there was a damp smell, but once I turned the air on that was fixed. The sheets were clean, but the covers had stains all over it. There were cable wires hanging out of the wall. Smashed bugs were still stuck on the wall. When I went to grab a shower the tub looked moldy, but the kicker was the mold stained shower curtain. Each towel I pulled off the bar had some kind of stain or other things embedded in them. One towel was literally gray. I stay in a lot of hotels in a lot of different cities and this was the worst I've stayed in. I knew it would be a cheaper hotel, but this was ridiculous.

Pros: room is nice and clean; staffs are humble and nice
Cons: more than 1 trash cans in the room
Location: it's only mins away from the marketplace mall which has everything; it's about 10 mins from UIUC, very convenient location.
The room is nice and clean -- recently renovated, exceeded my expectation for the low price, I extended my stay here although I had opportunity to move out. I will return to this city in the future and will stay here again.

Champaign stayover

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Newly renovated clean room
Cons: The rooms are cramped for more than two occupants and they don't feel secure
Location: The mall and restaurants are nearby
This hotel is upgrading rooms, which makes them pleasant and clean, but still cramped and a bit seedy on the exterior.

Being remodeled

Cheap and ok for price. Being remodeled and you will get an old room booking on line. Pleasant front desk. I was tired, just slept and left.

Place under construction. Everything new in room, bad if allergic to strong smell. Staff was good. Free coffee in lobby. Questionable going one at night. Cheap stay. Got what I paid for.

Run-down and sketchy

Posted Jul 24, 2014
The room smelled damp and moldy. The beds were terrible, as were the pillows. The bathroom was dark and shower wasn't super clean. I knew it wouldn't be amazing for what I was paying, but I didn't expect anything like that.
