stay at hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness
Cons: well because they are renovating, I cant really say. However, maybe some updated bedspreads, and some softer mattresses.
Location: We only stayed one night. There were restaurants in walking distance and gas stations to. Very nice
the hotel was under construction to upgrade their rooms. staff were pleasant. rooms were clean and nice.

In the midst of recycling

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff
Cons: New bed linens
Location: Close to shopping and dining choices.
The motel is old and some things are noticeably worn but renovations are in progress. The room was clean and the staff was very efficient and friendly and ready to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. And for the price it was definitely worth it. I'd stay there again.

Strange people at this hotel

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Location: It's a ten dollar taxi fare to UIUC. Twenty five dollars from Willard Airport.
On the afternoon I arrived I walked through a group of guys who were drinking and grilling so I could get to the vending machine. One night I took a taxi to the hotel and had another person in the taxi - when I got to the hotel the other taxi occupant jetted and left me with the taxi fare. Rough hotel.

I will not do it again..

Pros: Not much of anything about it . It was a place to lay your head is all.
Cons: the hole place was a mess...... Dumpers were full and the place looked nasty...
Location: Location was good easy to get to things .
Theres not nothing in the rooms .. The Tv was all snowy ,No mic / No frig / Not even a coffee pot to brew a cup of coffee the bathroom were clean but needed replaced . Had to wall to the office to get coffe and it was nasty... Carpet was messed up like it was tore from door cover and never fixed .. . Oh i forgot the wires for the cable Tv was just hanging out the wall and the power jacks were not safe . Went to plug cell phones in and they would fall out of the walls . I just thank God that i only had a couple nights there .

Budget hotel, being modernized

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Quiet, accessible location. Easy access to U of I and Interstates for trips to Springfield
Cons: Shower stall, toilet, and TV, However they told me this is all in the works. There are definitely workmen in some of the rooms.
Location: University of Illinois, all of Champaign-Urbana, just a short drive (about 90 minutes) from Springfield.
No microwave or refrigerator. However the motel is in the process of modernization, replacing CRT televisions with flat screens and redoing the bathroom. What the room clerk told me sounded good. The location is excellent, with easy access to a variety of services...MacDonalds nearby, Walmart relatively close, and Interstate access in half a block. All in all, well worth the price when compared to the going rate of other name brands.

Never again...

Posted May 23, 2014
Pros: Convenient to interstate
Cons: anything to do with sleeping accommodations
Location: Don't know...a flop-house for a 1500 mile drive.
Mattresses from the 1970's.Coverlet on one of the beds was ripped down the seam. If my wife had been travelling with me.... so I guess that's what you get for under $XX today! The next one in Knoxville is even worse!
