cute place but the best part is the staff!
cute place with a great view. But the best part is the staff. super helpful and friendly! we arrived late with hungry kids. they wiped up an amazing salad and pizza in now time.

Absolutely loved our two nights here enroute from the Chania airport. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to give us a warm welcome. Our suite was comfortable and very very clean. The master bed and AC were wonderful. The grounds are stunning with views of the sea, a lovely pool, and restaurant and bar serving up delicious food. Loved the included breakfast as well. We travel often and would absolutely recommend staying here for value and experience!

We had our flight moved up by one day (found out a day before flying) so scrambled to find a place for one night not far from Chania Airport. Turned out to be a wonderful day at Alianthos for my family and I. We were greeted with warmth by the staff. We enjoyed tasty food, floating in the pool, happy hour and swimming off the hotels entry to the sea. What a fantastic stay. I wish we could have stayed longer but our reservation elsewhere was made. Thank you Alianthos for making our first day in Crete a magical one.

Mimi and Katarina were the most amazing hosts! I lost my phone on the way home from the airport and had no idea where it could be since it was dead and Mimi tracked down the taxi cab it was in within a couple of hours. She went above and beyond. Their customer service is unmatched and the place is BEAUTIFUL. Way above our expectations.

The hotel is very close to the beach and has brilliant views across the bay from the hotel,the hotel is very clean but the reason why we would go back to the Alainthos Suites is the staff that work their from the gardener/handyman who always greets you with a smile and a hello and the ladies that clean the rooms always smiling and then their is Mimi and Tasos who are always their for you with their smiles and if you need anything they will help you We truly enjoyed our stay here

Amazing location next to the sea and the city of chania. A very calm hotel suits with nice scenary and very nice beach next to it. Only if the bar could stay for a longer time or mayb to have music till midnight. Mimi and katrina are amazing and super hosts ask them anything u need and they will help u with a smile.

Paradise location
Alianthos Suites offer self catering accomodation with a few additional features which combine into something unique. I would say it easily beats more prestige looking and expensive places for guest experience. The accomodation bit is based on apartments most of them facing the see and nature. The inside is usable and clean - to my complete surprise this included daily cleaning and bedlinen changes. The location (Chourafakia) is not densely populated so walking down to the beach - 5 minutes - you will not see masses of tourists. Moreover you will hardly see tourists at the local beach as 9 out 10 on the beach is greek. The water is crystal clear, warm and full of fish so you may want to consider bringing your snorkeling equipment. As a byword you do not even have to go to the beach as the pool is magnificent catering for children and adults as well. In addition to this you can walk down from the pool to the Alianthos' own rocky beach within 1 minute. The breakfast is a good variety based on local produce. The taste of tomatoes and melons just reminded me of flavours from my childhood. Greek hospitality comes into its own in this place and based on my experience visiting Italy, France, Spain, Portugal this is the winner of all our mediterranean holidays.

Beautiful and pleasant
The hotel was nice and clean. The service was warm and welcoming. The location is about 20 min from Chanias's Old Town, a bit challenging specially if driving at night. Overall very pleasant.

great place to. relax with family and friends
we just returned today form the hotel, important notes, the hotel owners has changed so all the older reviews are not relevant special thous about the chef who cooks meals per request in summary the place was just what we were looking for, quite clean and good location, the place is located 20 minutes from the airport on a small cliff over view on chania Bay, you can go down for snorkeling and fishing or to go down 100 meters to the nice beach not crowded and small snacks bar, there is a good size pool with beds around and bar for drinks and small snacks and basic meals. the rooms are clean and big with basic kitchen but missing basic stuff like salt sugar coffe or dishes soap (which the cleaner doesn't clean) also no shampoo and soap. no towels for the pool. to my opinion you must have a car as if you like descent meal you have to drive 5minutes to sunset restrunt or the tressea traven which both very recommended. I am sure you will enjoy the place.

Alianthos Suites are a 15 minutes drive from the airport. Studio was basic but we had a lovely patio. There was a separate kitchen which had a fridge, and a hob and although we didn't use it at all it seemed pretty well equipped. Twin beds, storage and hangers were also provided. The pool area is lovely, with beautiful views to sea, well established and maintained gardens. The breakfast provided is very basic, but George is a fantastic, friendly host and was so welcoming every morning. The coffee wasn't very good, but we still had a cup every day, it was just a bit weak for our liking. George also cooked lunch for us one day. He is offering to cook anything anyone wants and we told him to cook something local! He prepared a very good traditional pork and celery dish with potatoes, which was very much home Greek cooking and we really enjoyed the experience. The location is lovely and quiet, and you can walk to the nearby beach which is very small, uncrowded and perfect for families with young children.Would recommend you have a car so you can explore the beautiful west side of Crete and Chania. Alianthos was lovely, we would definitely return.

2 nights in Crete
Alianthos was a decent place for a couple nights stay for our small family. Unfortunately, when we booked we were traveling with a friend and booked a single unit with 2 rooms so we could all be together. When we arrived we were in 2 separate units. I feel the rooms could've been cleaner. The air conditioner wasn't on when we arrived and there were some bugs inside the rooms. The internet did not work at all in the rooms. It worked only in the lobby where there was no air conditioning. The best thing of this place was the swimming area in the back. We practically had it to ourselves. There was even a lounge chair and beach umbrella to keep from direct sunlight. The waters were pretty rough for little ones though. We really enjoyed the little beach in the area. Good enough stay for 2 nights.

Disastrous situation turned into an enjoyable stay
My boyfriend and I arrived at this location in Chania last week and upon driving through the gate we immediately knew something was off. It appeared that the entire estate had been abandoned. There was trash everywhere and all the bushes were overgrown and clearly nothing had been maintained for some time. We arrived and tried to get someones attention and a man walks out in what appears to be his pajamas, but he quickly goes back inside and gets dressed appropriately. When he comes back out he explains to us how they have been experiencing many issues lately and he apologizes, but they are going to take us to another hotel on the other side of the island for the duration of our stay. This made us feel a little better, but we weren't sure what the hotel would look like. I will have to say it was a far drive to the other location, but the man took us the entire way and had called ahead to the hotel to ensure they had a nice room waiting for us. Even though the Alianthos Suites was in shambles we were very pleased with the warm welcome and terrific room overlooking the beach that the hotel had provided us for our stay. The hotel staff at Indigo Mare went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our time and were very apologetic for the mishap. I believe they may be owned by the same person so they are sister hotels. Wish we would have been notified ahead of time of the problem, but overall it turned out alright in the end and we had a pleasant stay at the Indigo Mare hotel.

Perfect Crete hideaway
The apartments are in a fantastic location if you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from the crowds. The gardens and the pool are lovely but best for us was the diving platform off the rocks at the bottom of the garden, directly into the sea. Peri & Louda could not have been more accomodating and solved a plumbing problem with minimum of fuss and maximum thought to our holiday. The nearby beach and bay is perfect - small and almost empty at the end of May. The only taverna on the bay is run by a great guy who cooks perfect grilled squid and cuttlefish. All in all, a deeply relaxing holiday in a peaceful location with other like minded, unobtrusive holidayers. Highly recommended

Late Plane Arrival
We arrived around 12am because we took a late plane. The staff knew we were going to arrive late and showed us to our room. It was far from the airport 20 minutes and 20 euros for a taxi. The outside of the is beautiful pretty location but not close to anything. There were also some bugs in our room - this may be normal for Greece, but Americans were not used to this. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and if we rented a car and were not planning on going anywhere we would maybe go back.

Very good location overlooking the Bay of Chania. An excellently presented suite - clean, and well equipped with good outdoor furniture on a large balcony. Attractive and comfortable swimming pool area and gardens. Most importantly excellent service from the staff of Peri and Luda who were welcoming, helpful and dedicated.

Good value for money, excellent location, and very friendly staff.....we had a great time away from the tourist madness, yet close enough to Chania, Stavros etc. 2 minutes walk away, you have one of the nicest little coves with a nice small beach with trees to shade under and a really good restaurant to one side of the bay.

Amazing and warm hearted
I have stayed in this location for already three times and every time it was excellent. The service is wonderful, very friendly and helping wherever they can. I rarely have met such warm hearted people and I would recommend everyone to stay in this apartment hotel. You need a car to get arounf but the hotel is located next to the sea and only 25 minutes by car away from the center of Chania. There is even a bus which takes you around the island so a car is not necessary for everything. The breakfast is delicious, offering savory and sweet foods, fresh fruits and veggies. And even when you are hungry during the day, the lovely personel will prepare an excellent dish at the beach bar. Thank you all from Alianthos Suites; my mother and I had an amazing vacation.

Déçu... une odeur désagréable dans la chambre d égout. La climatisation en fonctionne pas. Les chambres sont rénovés à moindre coût. On cache juste l’ancien. Dommage car la vue est sympa et le personnel plutôt sympathique

MAGNIFIQUE
Très agréable séjour dans cet appartement propre et bien équipé au milieu d'un magnifique jardin, très bien entretenu. Une très belle petite crique à 150 mètre environ. La piscine est superbe avec beaucoup de transats. Le petit déjeuner est varié salé, sucré et un vrai jus d'orange. Et l'accueil est parfait Mimi et Katerina sont au petit soin avec les vacanciers. A réserver sans hésitation si vous souhaitez être au calme.

Appartement spacieux vue sur mer.
Je recommande cet établissement. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Ce n'est pas le grand luxe, mais le confort, le cadre, le jardin magnifique, la piscine super, le terrain de tennis surplombant la mer, la petite crique privée depuis laquelle nous pouvons assister à un beau coucher de soleil.... ont rendu notre séjour excellent ! Nous y retournerons !

Beautiful garden, close to nice beach - which is perfect for young children. Very quiet place. Close to airport. You should rent a car to stay there, nearest supermarket is 1,5km up to hill. Apartments very small, messy - should be refurbished. You can find messy stains everywhere - bed, sofa, pool chairs... Pool is also not clean enough. Buffet breakfast - limit is 2dcl fresh juice per person - really funny ;-) Wifi is usable around the pool or close to reception only. This hotel is overpriced.

Rigtig dejligt sted og i god stand. Rigtig lækkert poolområde og en fin strand i gå afstand. Lejligheden var rigtig fin og stor, med god terrasse til.

quiet and confortable hotel near the beach
We stayed a week and were very good. Our apartment was clean, spacious, quiet with views over the pool and the sea. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. Very convenient parking and the proximity to a beautiful and quiet beach.
