Amazing place!
Love this place! The apartments are clean and functional and the air con works perfect. The resort is nice and small and there is always room around the pool. Andreas and his family are very attentive and eager to help if they can - they printed all our covid paperwork for our return trip without charge. Great location 15 minutes from Chania old town by bus (number 21 bus). Beach is a stone's throw away too.

Second visit, just as good.
Second year coming here and just as good. We have a different apartment this time but it is equally well equipped. Aircon works well and there is a nice area out the front of the apartment with tables and chairs. Service is great as usual, and the pool is perfect!

Quiet, Comfortable, Nice and Small
Wow, what a place. Tucked out of the way but just 5 minutes walk from an amazing beach, within 2 minutes of a bus stop (take bus 21 to get in to Chania) and supermarkets right outside the complex. We took the Maisonette apartment, which has a bedroom, bathroom (with shower) and balcony upstairs, kitchenette (with Hob, Grill and Oven and Fridge), 2 sofas/beds and TV downstairs. Outside is a small seating area. Fully working Air Conditioning both upstairs and downstairs. The pool is not too big but very deep and warm. Small bar where you can buy a range of drinks and snacks - at reasonable prices. Andreas and his Wife are excellent! Cleaners cleaned every day. I cannot fault this place and look forward to visiting again.

we were made most welcome
We had a great 8 night stay. The staff were very friendly, it’s in a great location and we were lucky to have an apartment with 2 balconies, one for the morning sun and one for the afternoon. The place was cleaned to a very high standard.

Great place to stay!
We love this place! The family atmosphere is fun and relaxing and you are minutes away from a couple of beaches or a quick ride into the city center.

Quiet and comfortable
Great little family run apartment hotel. We felt comfortable and safe there. Our little kitchen was great for breakfast and to make morning coffee. There was a nice eating area, patio and living room. We only put our feet in the pool but it was nice too. The host was so nice and welcoming and offered great advice on the area. We walked to the old city each day.

Nice hotel with excellent location near the beach

Great Stay!
We had a wonderful stay. Host was very accommodating to our needs. We had to arrive very late, after mid-night, due to a long drive. No problems, we arrived, he gave us the key, and said it's late we can do the formal check in tomorrow sometime!

Family trip to Chania
We had a great time. The location is near Chania, however far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of parking and nice pool available. Good value for money. The beach is super near and very nice. 24x7 grocery available within 300m walk and some nice bakeries also.

Great apartments and right next to the sandy beach
Great apartments, new looking building, clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious, clean and pretty modern. Everything you need is there. The beach was closer than I thought it will be- literally 2-3min walk and sandy beach is at your feet. And there are few amazing beaches near by (ie iguana beach) Staff always with the smile and very helpful of you need anything. Close to Chania town and supermarkets. Would be staying again.

From first to last moment this was a wonderful stay in a delightful studio apartment. Everything that I needed was provided in the apartment. Andreas was a gentleman and extremely pleasant, warm and welcoming. I can wholly recommend Elma's Dream Apartment.

Well appointed apartments close to the beach
I stayed at Elmer's for 3 nights and was made to feel most welcome by Andreas.The hotel had a good pool and sun loungers and the studio apartment was really good value.It was quiet at night apart from the sound of waves crashing against the shore reminding one of how close the beach was.I would return without hesitation.

Very Pleasant Relaxing Stay
Was very pleasantly surprised with this place. It's very well run and an excellent deal for a two floor townhouse with balcony. The atmosphere was great. It was a perfect location for me being quiet and secluded yet close to everything. 3 minute walk to the beach. Just before the beach there's a nice dirt walking/bike path which runs along the coast. There's a convenience store, grocery store and outdoor cafe/restaurant just next to the property. Very family friendly and perfect environment for kids.

Family Resort
It's more of a family oriented small resort. The pool (rather small) has always kids and teenagers jumping and playing. The apartment was spacious and had 2 floors. However, both Air Conditioning units (which are old) were not working which made it unbearable by night. We did mention this to Andreas on Sunday morning, but we had to wait until Monday night to have them fixed because he can't find someone to fix it on a Sunday. In a boiling hot weather, this stay was ruined by not being able to sleep well without AC's.

Hi Elie, Thank you very much for staying in our hotel. I am very sorry for the problem with the air condition. As you told us on Sunday, there was a problem with both air conditions for two night. I wish you told us on Saturday so I could have them fixed before Saturday afternoon. We called the service on Sunday and then again on Monday morning to remind them and they came and fixed it around 19:00 on Monday. That was the best we could do on short notice. I understand the problem and when you mentioned that on Sunday, we gave you a fan to try to make sleeping possible. During July and August when there are families with children, the truth is it can be a bit over crowded in the pool. But that is not the rule all season around. Again, thank you for your stay. I would like once more to assure you that we did everything possible to deal with the problem as soon as possible.

An excellent stay, a very well family run hotel, very efficient , friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped, the only thing that would be nice to have would be a toaster.

Very nice stay
Very good facilities for cooking. Only thing that was missing was a toaster. 5-10 minute drive into Chania center. There was a bus stop just outside, I presume this goes to the center too. Pool was great, diving board was a lot of fun. Staff were very accommodating.

Nice apartments in a great location
The beds were very comfy, the staff polite and the area great. Apartments were cleaned regularly and good size. Not far from Chania centre and a regular bus service there. Beach 3 min walk away and a few to choose from. The only thing that we marked down was the reception area, it was untidy and had lots of toys/things around. It really needs to be organised to make a good first impression. It may have been because it was the school holidays.Overall, if we returned to Chania again, we would return for sure.

April at Golden Beach
We stayed at Elmas Dream apartments in April arriving to worst weather in 40 years. The warm welcome we received helped us get through the storm. The staff were helpful and friendly, very personable in approach. The apartment complex is very well run, bright and clean and only minutes from the beach and shops. Chania is accessible in by bus or taxi.

Nice little hotel
It's a nice little hotel. It is near a decent beach, and is a pretty short cab ride to Chania Old Town, but isn't really close to anything. Andreas goes out of his way to make things as easy and comfortable as possible. There is a nice little kitchen, and some markets nearby, so you can handle some meals that way. Overall, it is a good value for the money, but is not anything fancy.

wonderful little retreat
Firstly, this hotel is right by Golden Beach, about 2k from Chania central. If you are happy with this then all i can say is go for it. This hotel is great and is clean, the staff and owner Andreas are superb. Worth every penny and more.

We only booked for 3 nights but after the first day we booked for the whole week and returned for the last 3 nights of our holiday. The owner, Andreas as very welcoming and went out of his way to accommodate our needs and even helped us find an apartment in the South of Crete, overall exceptional treatment. Perfect for a family holiday, ideal to do with the little ones too, as we had our 14 months old son. Highly recommended.

Perfect for the family!
We had a great trip (for me and my 4 boys aged 4-12). The owner was able to provide us clear directions on how to drive to the hotel from the airport (less than 30 minutes). Parking was available right outside. The room (one queen bed in the bedroom and then single beds in the living room) was very clean and comfortable. The family-friendly beach was a short walk away and it was fantastic -- the sand was soft and water blue. Based on the owner's helpful recommendation, we drove to a nearby gyro place that everyone enjoyed. In the afternoon, we played in the hotel pool, which the kids loved (it had a small shallow area for the younger kids connected to the rest of the pool). In the evening, it was a short drive to the city center. All in all, a perfect place for our visit to Chania. Our only regret is that we left too soon, but we'll be back!

Firstlyni never take the time tonwrite reviews for hotels but i felt this place deserving. This hotel was more than we expected, we were two couples staying in 2 rooms and we were all very pleased with everything. The rooms were spacious and had seperate bedroom and living room. It was more like a 1 bedroom apartment! Great hosts very pleasent experience. We stayed in another hotel for twice the price and wished we had stayed here longer. If you want to support the economy i would recommend staying in a family run hotel like elmas versus a hotel chain you will have a superior experience. Thanks guys!

Great hotel for an affordable family holiday
Hotel is clean but basic, as you would expect from the price. Ideal location if you prefer to be by the beach but want to be able to get to Chania old town easily. Also close to supermarkets and a few small bars and restaurants. Owner and staff incredibly helpful and really helped make our stay.
