Great place for a holiday with awesome views.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Renieris Hotel is family run business. (Salute Giorgios:). That's one of the cleanest places we ever stayed. It has great views from the hill where it was built.

Great hotel for couplesPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everything was good. The breakfast options were extensive and lovely eating out by the pool. The light food available was reasonably price
Cons: The shower size was quite small, the bathroom was big enough to have contained a better shower.
Location: It is a 10 min drive into chania, for city shops. The beach was 5 min walk. Plenty of eating options within walking distance, also shopping.
We had a lovely time, the staff, Stella and Giorgio were wonderful. Very helpful and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotless and located 200 mts from the beach.we stayed for 6 nights in a beach front room.

QuietPosted Jun 17, 2014
The hotel was away from the main road so it was very quiet. Could not fault anything, very clean and breakfast was great. The room was very big with plenty of storage space, we even had two balconies! The owners are lovely and thank you Γιώργο for taking us to the main road in your car with our suitcases. I would stay there again! Oh and the view is amazing as it is located on a hill. The steps going up are not too bad either.

Relaxing hotel with fantastic viewsPosted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Quiet efficiency and an eye for detail that makes things just right for guests that a family run hotel can provide.
Location: Visit Hania old town and the Therisiano Gorge (which is the only one that can be driven through so is suitable for all ages)
A family run hotel providing excellent service and high standards throughout. Rooms, public areas, gardens and pool area are all kept exceptionally clean and tidy. The breakfasts served in the covered area adjacent to the pool area provide a wide choice with juice, tea coffee, cereals and fruit, yogurt, breads, freshly cooked bacon, omelet, sausage and local and home cooked specialties and can not be faulted. The view from the front rooms and the pool area is of unrestricted sea views and not overlooked by adjacent buildings. The mountain views (snow capped in April) are spectacular. Food is available all day from the food and bar area adjacent to the pool on request and is freshly prepared and can be recommended. A short walk down steps from the pool area to the road takes a few minutes giving easy access to the nearest restaurant 'Marias' which can also be recommended. The highest recommendation is fair recognition for the effort the family makes to maintain exceptional standards making the stay relaxing and comfortable. We used the Renieris Hotel as a base for exploring the West of Crete and gives good access by car to the old and new national road.

Efharisto to Gergio and Stella for a great weekPosted Nov 15, 2013
Reineris Experience The warm friendly staff of Hotel Renieris made us feel very welcome for our whole week's stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Georgio or Stella. The hotel is extremely clean, not a speck of dirt to be found and the view (from all rooms) is beautiful. The breakfasts were yummy. A good mix of Greek (including local Cretan) food and more traditional breakfasty toast, cereal, eggs, etc. The hotel amenities are basic, but really that was all we needed for the week. We swam in the pool a few times despite the freezing temperature of the water. It was only later in the week that we realised the sea (only 3-4 mins walk) was much warmer! Aside from the incredible food (we loved the proper Cretan restaurants that serve local goat, seafood, etc), the lasting experience we had of Crete were the warm friendly people. The genuine smiles of the people we met. Proper full face smiles instead of the mouth-only gestures that you would get from a stranger elsewhere. We cannot thank Georgio and Stella enough for a great week. We felt like we made friends whilst we were there and we highly recommend Hotel Renieris if you are staying in the Chania area.

Glorious GiorgiosPosted Nov 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
I would heartily recommend Renieris as a place to stay. It has wonderful views and just a short walk (albeit down lots of steps - so be warned) to the beach. Also within easy reach of Chania. The thing that makes it though is Giorgios, who really does everything he can to make your trip enjoyable and caters fo your every need. I would happily recommend the hotel, and would happily stay there again.

Nice hotel.Posted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the Renieris in September of this year. I was struck by how clean and spacious the hotel is. By far, the cleanest room in my month away from home. The breakfast was good the next morning and family that runs the place was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend if you are in the area. I'm not sure I Will go back there as it's not my favourite part of Crete but nothing to do with this hotel.

Fabulous hotel with friendly, helpful staff.Posted Oct 12, 2013
Cons: One very small point - wardrobe isn't long enough to hang dresses in.
Location: Good location for bus stop, beach and restaurants - approx 10 walk to Maria's Restaurant (recommended). Chania is a 10 minute bus ride.
Just spent a week at the Renieris Hotel and would like to thank Giorgos and his staff for a wonderful stay. The hotel is spotless and comfortable and has a lovely pool area. Nothing was too much trouble for Giorgos. He helped us with our airport transfer prior to arriving and also with the hiring of bikes while we were there. Anything you need to know - just ask him, he is very helpful and courteous. We had a garden view room and our friends a sea view room. Our garden view was lovely too, with a fabulous view of the white mountains in the background, and we still got the sun most of the day. Rooms have hairdryers and toiletries and towels are changed every day and they even provide beach towels if required, saving on your luggage weight. Room cleaning was the best I have come across - never noisy or intrusive either. Breakfast is continental, with some tasty greek specialtities (dacos and olive paste, yoghurt and honey). Ample choice with lovely fresh baked bread. There are 98 steps to be aware of down to the road and beach - all good for keeping fit! All in all a 'little gem' of a hotel - and we would definitely return.
