Wonderful staff!!

Gina and her lovely family run sun city hotel. They were very hospitable and welcoming and really made the stay more enjoyable. They were very helpful and willing to give us lots of advice on the sites to see, transport and restaurants. Gina went above and beyond and was very kind and offered to help us change our flight out of Crete. The room was always clean and it was in a very safe location. It was only 10-15 minutes away from Old Town and the Venetian Harbour. It is only 2 mins walk from the beach and their is a great home made pizza restaurant opposite the hotel as well as a tavern and another restaurant down the road. The only negative points were that the beds were very hard and the shower was very small. All in all it was a lovely stay!

From the moment I arrived at Sun City they treated me like family. The grounds are immaculate and the beach, restaurants and bus to Chania are conveniently located nearby. The patio and pool were great for lounging on hot afternoons and the outside bar was a great place to relax and socialize after a long day of sightseeing. I really enjoyed my stay at Sun City and will return next year with my family.

A little bit of paradise and more

Location: Fabulous location with 3 lovely beaches within 5 minutes walking distance. Good selection of restaurants. Regular bus to Chania journey time 10 mins
We have stayed in other hotels in Crete but this is the first time we have stayed at Sun City and it surpassed all of our expectations. The hosts were extremely helpful , friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is exceptionally well maintained and the room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen facilities were more than adequate allowing us to make make dinner in the room a couple of evenings and sit on the balcony to enjoy it. The hotel is in a quiet location so it is very relaxing and the pool and facilities are a pleasure to use. Holidaying in this hotel is a thoroughly enjoyable experience making it one that we will definitely repeat.

Well run, clean hotel with great service

Posted Jun 14, 2013
Just got back from my stay, had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel. Hotel: The room was very clean and had a small kitchen which was great to make a few meals, so good for those wanting to travel on a budget. The room has air conditioning, great as it was quite warm at night, and a balcony perfect for eating outside, which as the room I stayed in was in the back overlooked some nice gardens. Service: I went on organised day trips which Gina very kindly arranged and got the times and general information, meaning all I had to do was say where I wanted to go for the day. The room was cleaned daily and had fresh bedding and towels daily. Location/amenities: The hotel is a 10 minute bus ride from Chania Town and is surrounded by some good local Tavernas and two beaches, plus there is a bar at hotel. There are also several Super Markets close by. The hotel also has a swimming pool, although I did not go in, which looked very good.

An ideal location for a relaxed break

Posted Oct 9, 2012
Pros: The friendly atmosphere - single travellers would not feel alone there. Advice is always readily available and local knowledge superb.
Cons: Nothing
Location: We found it ideally situated a short distance from a saf, sandy beach in a small bay. Regular buses run to many parts of the Island via Chania.
This is a family run hotel and they all make you feel a part of their family. My wife and I spent a wonderful week with them in September and will stay there again when we return to Crete.
