Pros: The restaurant had a pretty view and in it's day I am sure it was lovely.Breakfast was good that came with room but inn,restaurant needs updating.
Location: I THOUGHT THE LOCATION WAS GOOD. Close to what we wanted to see.not far from neighboring towns.
The room smelled of some antiseptic or cleaner they use..Our room was not above the restaurant but in the annex.I don't know if it was a cleaning spray but very powerful.

Quaint = dumpyPosted Aug 29, 2013
Restaurant and Inn are in a fantastic location with great food and fantastic environment. That all stops when you get to the room. Yardsale is the best way to describe the collection of furniture and decore that was in the room. Would not recommend until the hotel does a massive overhaul of the rooms and bathrooms.

Bed and pillows like rocksPosted Sep 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
Beautiful old Inn, but as other reviewers have stated they must put more into their restaurant than the Inn. I've stayed at other B&B in antique homes and you see pride of ownership. Crabtree Kittle needs basic care of room - dirty, chipped paint, large spot of chipped porcelain in tub, waterstained, abused furniture. Customer service was lacking as I stood at the desk for at least 10 minutes, never even acknowledged by any of the staff as they walked past. The desk clerk was on the phone giving directions, and a man finally came from the bar area and acted like I was intruding on his day. However the biggest reason I won't return was the beds. Rock hard mattress and pillows.

It is a wonderfully quaint place to stay. Everyone was very nice. I recommended it to three of my friends already.

Paper-thin wallsPosted Jun 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a very nice B&B - Restaurant and Inn. The view and location is gorgeous. The people are nice and there isn't much to complain on that part. However, one thing that bothered me was the paper thin walls. I stayed in 1C, and I could easily hear every word of the conversation from my neighbor next door. I knew that if I could hear them, then they could certainly hear me, so I ended up walking on eggshells in trying to be quiet when I watched TV late. I think this is a nice B&B, but given the paper thin walls, maybe not worth the very high rating it has. I feel that this place needs some remodeling work to improve the sound isolation.

Large, comfortable room. Mattress could have been softer but I suppose that's a personal preference. Contiental breakfast was delicious, but very limited options. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Wonderful place - all the comforts of homePosted Mar 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
This place is so wonderful. Besides the food being heavenly, the people are SO FREAKING ACOMMODATING it's not even funny. Leo and Betty will bend over backwards to make sure you are comfortable in every way. Whether it's a cup of tea or an extra heater in your room (I'm ALWAYS cold), they will do it. It is a bed and breakfast feel with all of the amenities of a hotel. Also, check out the great piano player at the bar on Friday and Saturday night!

this is a wonderful family-run hotel. It is more like and bed and breakfast--so cozy and comfortable, with great food.
