Première Classe Angoulême Ouest - Saint Yrieix

Enjoy our stop over when travelling France. Great location Cheap fuel and supermarket close by. Will use again

The hotel was next to the N10 which runs north-south through Angouleme so easy to find (also on Google Maps). No traffic noise and quiet day and night. It's behind the Campanile hotel. Plenty of parking and easy check in. The clerk was very helpful and spoke English. It had 3 comfortable beds (room 59), shower with towels and liquid soap provided, toilet with toilet paper, TV with a good selection of French channels (perfect picture), and free wifi. I left just after 7am and some people were eating breakfast then.The only real drawback was that the room was small.

This was the second Première Classe hotel we stayed in so we know more or less what to expect. It's not a place I'd choose to stay at as a holiday base - the room is quite small - but it was clean, the bed was large and comfortable, the TV worked (!!) with a variety of French language channels, and it had a deal with the adjacent Campanile Hotel (same group) if we wanted to have ourt evening meal more-or-less on-site. (We went into Angouleme having already had an enjoyable meal at lunchtinme in another Campanile.) So to repeat what it says in the title - a good place for a comfortable low-price stopover on a journey across France - right next to the old RN10 road.

room was not cleaned arrived at 5pm cleaner was smoking no rooms ready had to wait staff unhelpfull when finally got into room sheets not changed this was the same for our neighbour tried to get satisfaction but was fobbed off we had a blanket in car so we laid on this in the room never again in premier class

It is a comfortable place with a good hotel service, but I suspect the bed clothes hadn´t been washed between customers. This was a very unadequate thing in a hotel which in other aspects was very clean.

I didn't pay much and therefore didn't expect much. One point to note: unless you tell the desk every night, there will be no breakfast for you in the morning. They only 'buy-in' food for those they know want it, so make sure you tell them every day. When we arrived we booked breakfast for everyday but it was clear that this was not effectively recorded and we eneded up without on the second day. The on-site 'restaurant' (attached to the adjacent hotel), is utter rubbish, poor prices, poor quality, poor service. Don't waste your time or money, it's worth a trip into Angouleme city centre.

Confort, emplacement ideal, prix sympa, accessible quelle que soit l'heure d'arrivée Accueil plutôt sympa, parking disponible, petit déjeuner correct Quelques petits défauts à remédier: Petit déjeuner le contenu pourrait être amélioré (présence de croissants par exemple) sans trop de difficultés (vu le prix) Chambre: les sanitaires sont quand même un peu sommaires, et les murs mériteraient un coup de pinceau Par contre chapeau pour la clim (facuile à régler et très confortable) et la literie Globalement, une expérience très satisfaisante !

Habitué des hôtels Première classe, je ne suis pas déçu : accueil toujours chaleureux, chambre propre, literie ferme, chambre au calme, bonne accessibilité...Les chambres lit double sont confortables et bien étudiées pour ceux qui y font une courte halte. Conquis et fidélisé !!
