“No complaints!!”

We stayed here for one night as we were driving down to the south of France.The hotel was the only one available on expedia for the date we wanted. I read the reviews and was put off a bit but went prepared with kettle, tea bags, cutlery etc People had said it was a long walk into town and as we did not arrive till 8pm we thought we were going to be stuck in the room with no food all night. How wrong, the hotel was very clean, the room looked new!!! the cupboards were filled with cutlery,a kettle with tea & bicuits the lot!! Into town was a nice 10 mins walk (max) unless your old/fat etc. Loads of places to eat, Aquarium was amazing, worth going. Staff could speak English and friendly. They let us take our mountain bikes inside the room when we asked.So good we called direct on return journey and stayed again.

“Great family-friendly place to stay!”

Fab apart-hotel not far the centre of La Rochelle. Easy to find from the airport or train station. We had a two bed apartment and it was huge! The hotel opened Jan 2007 so everything is brand new and squeaky clean. The pool was an unexpected bonus although it was FREEZING. The breakfast is OK - not up to Marriott standards but perfectly acceptable.

Good and clean accommodation, parking garage very convenient and free! Just a few blocks away from the old town - 10 minute walk. Reception friendly and helpful. If you check in after hours, check for phone number and instructions on front door. Take away restaurants just around the block! La Rochelle beautiful to visit, would definitely recommend!

We visited La Rochelle on route to our holiday destination, it was ment just as a stop over, but after staying at the apartment, and visiting La Rochelle, we where very impressed with both and will be visiting again, and recommending the hotel

“Spacious and Comfy”

Nice big room with queen bed and full sized bath/shower for a single person, plus a large balcony off the room and a really good breakfast buffet. The staff were really gracious and spoke English very well.

Located in the newly developed part of L.R.very convenient for the harbour and town. Large rooms with excellent facilities.

“Large comfortable rooms, in a lovely town”

Only stayed one night en route to Dordogne. La Rochelle is a very picturesque town, & well worth a visit. We had a room for 6 (which had 2 bedrooms, longe area & kitchenette), and wished we booked it for longer -very comfortable & clean. We didn't use hotel restaurant, eating out instead, so can't comment on that. Kids loved having a little swim in hotel pool, tho did say it was rather cold!

“Clean, modern hotel”

A good clean hotel, away from the noise of the city but in walking distance of the town and Old Port. Would stay there again.

“Great value and good for families”

We were a little bit concerned reading other reviews about the location, but actually its not that far out and using the electric ferry boat to cross the harbour is very handy. Having stayed at the Ibis Vieux Port previously it didn't really take any longer to get into the centre of town. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and well presented. Minor niggles were no iron, no shaver point, and just one tiny bin in bathroom. The WC was located by the entrance but the bathroom was at the back of the apartment - again only a minor niggle. Would definitely recommend to families - great value and much more spacious than most hotels. Breakfast available but we found a great bakers on the way to town serving good coffee etc.

“Historical town”

Short walk into town. Boat taxi available to save walking all around the harbour. (Not run by the hotel).
