Beautiful stylish hotel right on the harbor.Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Everything, decor is sheer French chic, food wonderful as are the staff and the enchanting court yard garden.
Location: Location is enchanting. Cycling is so much fun and a must if visiting, harbour very pretty and with some very nice restaurants.
Hotel was beautiful, upgraded to a junior suite which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel team were marvellous and attended to every need. Food in the restaurant very good, price average for this quality of hotel and on a par with prices in France that some how have outstripped English prices for food and wine, how can wine be so expensive in France? The island was beautiful and bicycle riding a must to appreciate just how lovely the place is. I loved everything about the hotel and the island, can't wait till I can return.

Misleading photos but lovely placePosted Jun 13, 2014
Lovely place but misleading that the lovely pool is on site when it isn't. Also whole restaurant shut for an event. Otherwise lovely. Great setting

Amazing location, rooms disappointingPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location of the hotel absolutely outstanding and the service is perfect. I felt that the room was disappointing however. We had a tiny window in an alcove so it was very dark. Stains on the throws, lost toilet seat and handle, no soap in bathroom etc let it down a bit. These were individually small things but overall made the hotel a little disappointing when could easily have been amazing

Simply The BestPosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: See above.
Location: Cycling and eating!
Not a large, flashy hotel but excellent position, comfortable rooms, superlative staff and a restaurant that is a real treat.

Highly recommended Le ToirasPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Valet parking and the Olivia Dining Room
Cons: Initial Access to the Hotel - bolard barred
Location: Harbour St. Martin de Re, Ille de Re France
A little difficult to locate Le Toiras but when found it is charming, with toille and colourful rooms and flower filled courtyard. Service in the pretty Olivia dining room was excellent with good food. We also enjoyed our morning swim in the contrasting sister hotel Villa Clarisse. We had the smallest room but it was comfortable pretty, clean and quiet.

Not 5 starPosted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Why is this hotel a 5 star? No lift to our room which was located on the 2nd floor up two flights of steep stairs restaurant too expensive nothing special! Dirty stairs for 3 days Faulty shower terrible Internet connection absolutely no amenities We decided to check out 2 days early despite us losing our money as we booked online and pre paid The staff member (after speaking to the manager) was too concerned with re booking our room as soon as possible and wasn't interested as to why we were checking out early! We often stay in 4 to 5 star hotels this doesn't qualify to be classed as 5 star more like 3 star at the most Don't wate your money!!

Beautiful Hotel with Friendly StaffPosted May 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We visited L'Hotel de Toiras for my wife's 30th birthday and were extremely impressed from start to finish. Our free upgrade to a suite overlooking the harbour was the icing on the cake. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere relaxed and informal, in contrast to the opulent surroundings. We will definitely return to the hotel for our next special occasion. The only constructive criticism would be that our poached eggs at breakfast were slightly under cooked and the bacon was overlooked, although the member of staff quickly rectified this. We had dinner in the restaurant once and were very impressed with the meal and the service.

One of the best Hotels we have stayed at in France. Efficient and friendly Staff, lovely classical decor and very comfortable room. Will recommend to Friends and Family and will go again in the early Autumn.
