Excellent locationPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Almost everything!
Cons: A new mattress on the bed
Location: Very near the old port.Loads to do.Lovely walks, boat trips to the islands, visit the Maritime Museum.Excellent seafood.
We liked this hotel. It is in a lovely old building, but the rooms are modern, with good bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the old town, very close to the port and excellent restaurants. We were glad we didn't have a car, as the streets are very narrow.

Great servicePosted Jun 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
We booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere central that was reasonably priced, just for a 1-night stay before our flight home. The hotel is in a great location near some lovely restaurants and shops. The room was basic as you would expect for the price but was clean and I was pleasantly surprised with the bathroom. We speak a little French but were concerned about booking a taxi for the early morning trip to the airport. The staff were brilliant though and they not only booked us a taxi, but opened breakfast early for us so we could eat before we departed.

Extremely convenient for allPosted May 30, 2014
Cons: Beds could be a bit softer, maybe a mattress topper could be supplied
Location: La Rochelle s a fabulous and cosmopolitan harbour. Lots to do and see. Market and sea front are lovely. Eat off the main tourist drag.
Lovely little hotel with very convenient car parking, saves parking in town. Everything was less than 20 minutes walk. Staff were helpful, warm and friendly. Breakfast simple but good. Great place to stay to explore La Rochelle

If you have a large room it is great.Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: The owners are there most of the day and speaking English with great gusto and other 2 staff were excellent to....the owners also live there.
Cons: This is a high maintenance building as it is very old. Only minor issues for me were the workability of 2 of the rooms with mirrors /storage
Location: Very near to bus station, cathedral, 5 mins to indoor food market,shops,5 mins to port and its attractions then walk from 3rd tower to beach, mini golf
We had 3 rooms and each had its plus and minus. Grd floor room was a twin room but had a double and a single so was large with french double glazed door to private small car park. but.nice and quiet...bathroom had no storage except glass shelf which is the only shame The other 2 on 1st/2nd floor had better bathrooms but smaller bedrooms.Storage and mirrors were also an issue in these rooms. The location is great and out of the way and so close to the bus station we paid 1euro 30 from airport..If you can ask for room 10 if you want space the it is a done deal !!! For the money paid it was good value .

Great Location and ValuePosted Feb 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great location in the center of the old La Rochelle. Bed left a little to be desired but over it was a great stay for the money.

Fantastic location and very helpful staffPosted Oct 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The stay was comfortable. The location is perfect just next to cathedral, 5 mins from the main market and not more then 10mins from fort. The room is simple , but I didn't need anything apart from basics. I will definitely choose it again when I'll be back.
