Comfortable chain hotelPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Cleaniness. Shower and bathroom. Kettle in room.
Cons: Breakfast, bit expensive.
Location: Location ok if you do not mind a walk and are not expecting to be in the centre. 2 restaurants for lunchtime, did not try. No other shops, etc.
Stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable, clean, everything you need. Kettle in room. Bathroom good. Situated around 20 mins. walk into centre but this was no problem for us for only 4 nights stay. Breakfast was extra which we only had on the first morning and then decided to walk into centre on the other days to try there. (Thought that it was a little expensive). We enjoyed our stay in La Rochelle. Plenty of places to eat, though quite a few a bit 'touristy'.

Convenient for Old HarbourPosted Aug 26, 2014
Just a 12 minute stroll into the Old Harbour and not much further to the rail station and it's buses. Reasonable breakfast. Keep windows shut to reduce noise from nearby railway. Great access to roads to explore the region. Not a lot of parking

10 minute walk to town center.Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in room #240 for 2 nights. The room was very clean. This is a typical Kyriad hotel with limited yet very practical space. The reception staff was very helpful. The room had twin beds, small nightstands, desk, and closet for hanging as well as for some shelves. The bathroom had a shower and a counter above the toilet to place your toiletries. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the center of town where all the tourist action is located. The room was very quiet. There is food available at the hotel for an extra cost. Parking was free in secured gates.

A smart modern-style hotel with pluses/minuses.Posted May 10, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: We like a hotel with a lounge/bar/restaurant and at the time of booking we did not appreciate that these were not available in-house.
Location: The hotel is in a semi-suburban area with a certain amount of business/ commercial activity around. Of the3 cafes nearby 2 seem to open lunchtime only
Our room was clean, modern and well equipped, quite acceptable but we would have preferred a little more space. Staff were all very welcoming, polite and helpful. Continental breakfast was buffet-style and very acceptable. The hotel does not have a residents' bar or lounge - there are a few sofas in the entrance foyer. Nor does it have a restaurant but you can order from a selection of simple "ready meals". There is free car parking. The major issue we had was that of location. The hotel does not justify the word "Centre" in its name. It is a 20 minute or so walk, crossing some busy roads, to the start of the real central area and port of La Rochelle. There is a public bus service into town from near the hotel but we did not discover this until a few days into our stay. We enjoyed our stay there but knowing what we know now we would choose a more central hotel next time

Excellent hotelPosted Dec 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel very impressive for this price range, everything spotless and as good as new, secure parking but not too many spaces. About a 10 minute walk into the town, shops and restaurants. There is a small restaurant opposite the hotel that looks better than it is. Average food but overpriced.

The room and bed were comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet area just outside the center, about 15 minutes walk. Parking is on the premises.

Good, Clean, Modern, Basic B&B stylePosted Sep 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Slightly out of town but walkable. Basic service with limited dinner pre-bookable, normal french breakfast. All perfectly fine if you're not looking for pampering. Parking was good, bed a bit hard otherwise typical of the Kyriad/Campanille group. Happy stay again.

Very FriendlyPosted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff were extremely polite and courteous. The hotel itself was functional rather than luxurious but it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. It was a relatively short walk into the quayside of La Rochelle with all the restaurants and bars etc. I would definitely stop there again.

Friendly and helpful staffPosted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed it very much and it was not too far to walk into both the old town and the port. The room though small was comfortable

Hotel a little too far from historic centre and port. Did not enjoy walk back whenit was dark.
