Lucia's Art Birthday GetawayPosted Sep 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very unique B&b and convenient to many of the attractions we planned on seeing. Parking was $20/nite at local parking garage. Continental breakfast was the same every morning and could have been improved. Host was very helpful in providing information about local attractions.

Amazing large room in center of townPosted May 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
My boyfriend and I decided to spend a night in Charleston before heading down to Kiawah for a wedding. I found 27 State Street on Hotels.com and was blown away with the service, size of the room and location. Donna made our stay so wonderful! Will definitely be returning and stay here in the near future.

27 State St B&BPosted Mar 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent place to stay. Donna is extremely personable and goes above and beyond ensuring comfort. During my stay I noticed I had not brought enough of my dog's medication. She called several veterinarians on my behalf and actually drove over to pick up the medication for me!! Most grateful Donna! Hotel is most beautiful, unique, and location perfect for my needs. Will stay here on next visit to Charleston.

For that rate, I expect a good night's sleepPosted Sep 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
Someone should have mentioned that with the ground floor room, you have the flickering lamp flame all night long and no black-out curtains (the blinds didn't even close all the way). The fountain gurgled loudly in the courtyard, but not loud enough to disguise the sound of the entryway buzzer and people tromping up and down the stairs.

27 State Street is a charming, historic building in the heart of the historic district of Charleston. All the historic sites, galleries, restaurants and attractions of downtown Charleston are within walking distance. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and scrupulously clean with thick towels and top-flight shampoos. But the very best feature is the owner, Donna, and her incredible service standard. She called me the day of my arrival, asked what I was interested in doing in Charleston, and made a complete itinerary for me including amazing meals and a perfect walking tour. Plus, they were sweet to my dog!

27 State StreetPosted Apr 23, 2012
Quaint, comfortable and delightful hospitality. I was greeting on the street with the fragrance of the Jasmine plants in bloom and entered the open air courtyard with other interesting plants and a water fountain that added a nice sound to the atmosphere.

27 State Street - Close to everything!Posted Apr 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Great little B&B with beautiful rooms and great service. Right in the center of everything you'd want to see, and a 15 minute walk from every major attraction in the city, 27 State Street is a great choice. We will certainly be back.

Great LocationPosted Feb 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
Walking distance to The battery, restaurants and downtown Charleston. 27 State street is steeped in history. Rooms are moderately large, clean, great bath with shower over bath. Very secure accommodation, and safe surroundings. Staff friendly, extremely helpful. Wonderful breakfast. Will stay here again. All ready planning my return.
