“Perfect location for Charleston!”

My husband and I loved the hotel and staff. The location was perfect for sightseeing and walking distance from everything! The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff was more than friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the Anchorage Inn.

“Very Happy!”

We stayed at the Anchorage Inn for 8 days. For the price and location, you couldn't beat it. It was our first time to Charleston so we had a lot to see and we wanted a place where we could be comfortable and in the middle of the action. We were steps from the Waterfront Park, King Street, the market, and on and on and on. The staff we extremely nice. They have a book at the front of the hotel that lists all of the restuarants and provides a menu. The wine and cherry were a nice touch. We enjoyed talking with the other guests. It was neat to see who was from where and who has done what. Should we go to Charleston again we will stay at the Anchorage Inn.

“Incredible hotel & location!!”

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The general manager that greeted us when we arrived was very welcoming. Would definitely stay again. Employees at the hotel were not what I expected. Not very friendly. Did not speak to you unless you spoke to them first. Would still stay there just the same.

If you're looking for a hotel that does not feel generic and is in a great location look no further.

“Taste of the Old Charleston”

Only one problem is the parking while checking in. There IS NO place to park. We had to double park in front of the hotel while checking in. Otherwise it was quick and very easy to get in and settled. The INN is very quaint and homey having an old world charm with modern conveviences. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of surrounding area and most helpful in making suggestions and answering any questions. Very close to EVERYTHING in Historical Section of Charleston. Within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Plan to go back in the fall. Enjoyed everything about it. If you are looking for something different from a chain hotel, this your place to go. Only 18 rooms in th entire Inn. Nice and quiet. WE LOVED IT!

“Can't wait to return”

The Inn is charming. The staff is fantastic. They treat the Inn as though it's their own home and you are an honored guest. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we're afraid a return visit can't possibly compare but we will return.

“Absolutely Perfect!”

The Anchorage Inn was absolutely perfect in every way! The building is beautiful! It is in a prime location...only a block from waterfront park and only 2 blocks from the market. We parked our car and walked to everything! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We just roamed from room to room exploring the beautiful woodwork and the furniture. I told my sister it was like staying at a cousins house! Very homey!

“Very satisfied”

The Anchorage Inn is a very nice place to stay in Charleston. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The inn is within walking distance to the market, the shops, and the pier. It was just an excellent and convenient place to stay. We would most certainly go back again.

“Great Downtown Charleston Hotel”

My mom and I had a great stay at the Anchorage Hotel in Charleston. It is an older hotel with lots of character. We had a suite which was very large that included a large bathroom as well. We were greeted at the door and helped immediately. The continental breakfast was filling. We got in too late for the wine and cheese cocktail hour and did not have a glass of sherry before bed. It was very quiet at night. The hotel is very close to the shopping and tours you can take of Charleston. We were very pleased with this hotel and will return someday.
