“Comfort and Kindness - Lovely stay!”

The room was large, beautifully decorated, and the beds were SO comfortable! All of the staff was friendly and helpful, especially when my mother became ill and needed to stay an extra night. The breakfast was 3 out of 5, but what was offered was good. The hotel is right in the heart of historic Charleston. I'll definitely stay there again!

“Can't beat the convenience!”

Lots of positives with this hotel, for sure. Besides convenience to places in the city, the conversations with the desk clerk and the comfort of the beds was wonderful.

“An Adorable Hotel”

We loved the Andrew Pinckney Inn. It had a lot of old fashioned charm, and a great location - we were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go in Charleston. Our original room had a leak in the bathroom, but we were promptly moved to another room, which had no problems at all. AC is kind of loud (window unit)and parking is $12 a day, but the staff is very helpful.

“great location”

two blocks from Market Street with great restaurants and shops within walking distance from this motel along with its charm are worth the price.

“Excellent Inn”

The Pinckney is very comfortable, in an excellent location for dining, site-seeing, etc. The hotel staff was extremely thoughtful and helpful. In fact, I'd probably just think "nice place, pretty comfortable" and never bother with a review without the memory of how excellent the staff was. (Just one example: the toilet in my room was backed up when I checked in. It was fixed in less than 15 minutes while I enjoyed the tea and cookies in the lobby.) The breakfast is a nice aspect of staying there, though the roof-top dining area can get a little nippy in November.

“Excellent hotel and location”

The service at the hotel was at the top all the way from check in to check out. Located in the city of Charleston we don't used the car during the whole weekend. Old style hotel, clean room, good breakfast at the terass, coffe in the lobby, internet access etc. We really liked the hotel.

“gracious and accommodating management”

We arrived several hours early (actually 5:30 AM by train the day of our reservation!) Thank goodness there was a real person at the front desk at this hour. He was very kind to allow us to relax in the lovely reception area and welcomed us to coffee/tea until daylight. We then used the powder rm to change clothes & freshen up. The manager graciously allowed us to leave much of our baggage in the office while we toured the college we came to visit. When we returned late afternoon, our bags were already in the room! We are so indebted to the staff's kindeness, it really made our trip so much more enjoyable. Should the city's college be our daughter's final choice- I would stay there everytime we visit!

“Great experience”

Although we had booked a package including a King room through Expedia, we were placed in a Queen room - Rm 302 - for our first night. The room was charming, but small and, in the morning, quite noisy as it was directly beneath the breakfast area. The management graciously moved us to a King room for our remaining three nights and we enjoyed it immensely. The staff was friendly and helpful (we would go back just to see and talk with the breakfast server, a wonderful lady named Cynthia). They were knowledgeable and helpful about the area and attractions and graciously made sure our room was ready earlier than the published time, which we greatly appreciated. After walking around Charleston the afternoon cookies were a welcomed treat (no lemonade was served, which I had read about in other reviews). Over all, a wonderful stay and pleasurable experience!
