Pros: The rooms are beautiful, clean and quiet. We loved the continental breakfast which was out of the ordinary. The wine bar was perfect in the afternoon.
Location: We walked to the market and restaurants. Charleston Tours picked us up in front of the hotel. and brought us back. Very convenient.
My husband and I stayed for five nights and were very pleased with this hotel.

Nice Inn close to restaurants and shopping.

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The historic ambiance and location.
My husband and I had a very nice stay at the Historic Andrew Pinckney Inn. We were in town for business and found the location to be a perfect choice within only a block of our meeting and restaurants. Rooms were very quiet and comfortable. The staff was gracious and attentive. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and view of Charleston on the 4th floor. Overall we had a very good experience and will go again.

Good old southern hospitatlity is alive and well

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: In addition to the staff, this inn is a historic gem. Great to stay in a place with such gentle care applied to the structure.
Cons: The upstairs breakfast room can be a bit drafty and cool in the morning during the cooler winter months.
Location: This inn is at a perfect location; all the sightseeing spots are within easy walking distance and of course Charleston is flat as flat can be.
It's been said before that a smile goes a long way; the staff at the Andrew Pinckney Inn understand that and seem to do it naturally. A very friendly bunch, not just the front desk attendant and concierge but the tradespeople on-site, the breakfast room attendant and the room staff. Like most trips, the inn/hotel is a refuge at the end of a long day of touring. The folks at the Pinckney are a welcome sight.

Nice hotel in historic building

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and cozy, and it was central to what we wanted to see and do in Charleston.
Location: Easy walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Close to Meeting Street and the City Market.
Nice hotel. Close to many restaurants and shops in Charleston and very centrally located. The rooms were clean and very nice, but a little on the small size for what you would usually find in a hotel. However, we understood prior to booking that most of the rooms were in a historic building and so we expected the rooms to be smaller than the average hotel room. We still had plenty of room for our luggage and to move around. The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, pastries, biscuits and gravy, and mini quiches (DELICIOUS) just to name a few items. A cold front had moved in so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the rooftop view as much since plastic curtains had been installed as well as heaters to keep guests warm. We opted for valet parking so that we would not have to drive around in search of a parking space and the staff allowed us to leave our car with them even after checkout since we had a few more things we wanted to see and do before leaving. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Phenomenal stay

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Everything.
From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I had a splendid experience. The first person I met was Sandy who checked us in. What a lovely gentleman with a welcoming personality. We were in a king suite that was perfect. We felt right at home and I really didn't want to leave. Bedding was very comfortable. The room was very warm and inviting. The area of the hotel was so convenient to everything - shopping and dining around the Charleston Market, King Street, Meeting Street - everything. I felt like the hotel was situated right in the middle of downtown as it was so easy to walk north and south quickly. We didn't have to take public transportation or taxis anywhere. The gentleman at the front desk in the evening was great at suggesting running routes. My husband and I took a nice run to the Rayenal Bridge which was supposed to be 1.5 miles from the hotel but it was such a great route we ended up running across the bridge and back. There is a supermarket 3 blocks away (Harris Teeter) that is open 24 hours. The complimentary breakfast and wifi were great additions to our stay. Although we didn't use it, the hotel offers day passes to Eco Fitness gym nearby if you need a fitness facility. Every staffer we encountered was polite, helpful and always smiling. It was my first visit to Charleston and when I visit again, I'm definitely staying at the Andrew Pinckney Inn.

Amazing Gem in Historic Charleston.

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Decor, small size and the demeanour of the staff.
Cons: Tub was slightly dirty; otherwise, nothing!
Location: Right near the Market, East Bay and a 15 minute walk to Upper King/King Street (Food). About a 10-15 minute walk to the battery and waterfront gardens
Great hotel check-in. Valet parking is very reasonable considering how expensive parking is in charleston. Having lived there for years, $20 to park and not worry about it is a pittance. Located near the great areas of charleston such as the Market & East Bay with fine-dining and drinks and beautiful historic houses. Just walking from there towards King street down any side streets (Queen, Pickney) will give you amazing views of houses and old charleston. You are 15 minutes walking to upper king, where again you'll find great food and entertainment. About 15-20 minutes walking to the battery, where you'll find replica/period artillery from the Civil War and great views of the harbour looking out to Ft. Sumpter, Castle Pinckney, Morris island and Sullivans Island. The room was amazing as we received a free upgrade to their Cotesworth Suite. Plush furniture and soft bed, with jetted tube and very nice robes, towels and toiletries. An excellent hotel for the price (easily could be twice as expensive!). Worth a stop if you ever get the chance.

Great location, good mi-range local Inn

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Location: Carriage tours, restaurants, shopping
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Valet parking was convenient and drivers were always available. Unfortunately, you don't really have an option to not use the service. Room was comfortable and clean - a little small. Breakfast was nice on the terrace but if the morning was especially cold or windy it was uncomfortable. The days the weather held up, the rooftop eating area was a great space. For the service and location, I think it was a great option. Would definitely stay here again.
