Loved this InnPosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: Location, rooms, staff, breakfast
Cons: Parking was $20/day which is on the higher end for the Historic district- but the valets were wonderful.
Location: You are able to walk to just about everything from here and it is fairly easy access to the highways.
We spent 3 days here and really enjoyed our stay. We were lucky enough to get bumped up to a suite which was very roomy and clean. The staff was exceptional- always ready to give suggestions for dining and attractions and even handled making reservations. The breakfast each morning was always good. We did not stay in the building where breakfast was served but it was a short walk across the street so it was really no big deal. The location was excellent! We never moved our car once we got there because we could walk everywhere. We would definitely stay here again.

Good location on the Battery and PriceyPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Location, room size, appearance
Cons: A mini frig in the room would be nice and the room only has a few electrical outlets for ipads and phones. Better breakfast.
Location: Sailing cruise around the harbor, walked around the battery, a couple good meals at the Magnolia and I visited the Hunley/Lasch Center
Our stay was for only two nights and the travel was last minute. The room was below the terrace so the scrapping of chairs could be heard that occurred mostly in the morning when breakfast was served. The staff was pleasant and no issues with room. The architectural features of the room fits in with old Charleston that included old wood floors and wains-coating panels. Given the prices of neighboring properties, it is fairly priced if you can stay during the week and avoid weekend. It is convenient to all the sites on Battery and restaurants. I did not need to move my car for my short stay. Parking is $20 a day for self parking or for valet. The breakfast was a little disappointing. Both mornings were some kind of quiche and biscuits and gravy that were not that good. The other items were your typical breakfast bar.

Needs improvementPosted Oct 10, 2013
1. We tried to contact a "24 hour" nighttime desk attendant for a medical purpose. Could not locate one for assistance. 2. inn is overpriced for what you get 3. Our room needed "sprucing up- door trim needed painting, etc 4. Room needs better lighting Otherwise, lobby was attractive. Daytime desk attendants & valet servicemen were courteous & efficient. Breakfast good.

Great hotel close to all Charleston attractionsPosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Loved our 2 story room- perfect for a girls weekend. It even had a balcony we could sit out on and enjoy the view. The staff was very helpful!
Cons: The bathroom was not fully cleaned and hair from the previous stay was still in the shower (gross!!) Also pull out coach was slightly uncomfortable.
Location: The location was perfect!! It couldn't have been any better. A nice quiet street but a block from the market place and all the great attractions!
Spent 3 nights here for a girls weekend. We loved the city of Charleston and the hotel had a lot of charm. We stayed in the 2 story townhouse which included a pull out coach and king size bed. It had 1.5 baths, perfect for a lot of girls. It also had a cute balcony which we could sit out on and enjoy the view. The location couldn't have been better and the staff was extremely helpful. The included breakfast was very good and you could sit out on a nice balcony while you ate it. The lobby also had tea, coffee and cookies in the afternoon. I would definitely reccommend this hotel.

Room was very smallPosted Sep 29, 2013
Cons: Small rooms like that should be discounted
Location: Close to historic district attractions
Room was very small with no windows and air conditioner was right by our head and very noisy

Quaint and right in the heart of it all!Posted Sep 5, 2013
We came to the Pinckney for our first trip to Charleston. It was wonderful! The patio on the 4th floor, where they serve breakfast, has a wonderful little view of the city. You are just blocks from Market street. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back to the Pinckney! While this was for a romantic get-away, I could see myself using the Pinckney when I bring extended family to visit Charleston.

The rooms were lovely, nicely decorated, very clean. The staff, from maids to valet to front desk personnel,we're friendly, and very helpful and accommodating. We liked the variety of foods offered at breakfast with the exception of the fruit bowl. Staff were very helpful with sightseeing, giving us ideas and good maps and directions. The location was perfect,we easily walked to many locations like the marketplace and historic homes and buildings as well as great restaurants!
