In the historic district...within a block of the Market and many restaurants. Enjoyed a very nice breakfast out on the deck out on the 4th floor of the hotel.

Good location in the heart of historic district

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Location was right in the heart of the historic district
Cons: Plumbing is ancient and with the 2 rooms that we had, we experiences 3 toilet back ups. Rooms could also use additional dresser or or space
Location: excellent location with plenty to eat, drink and do just outside the door.
enjoyed the Andrew Pickney but would more than likely try something else the next time we visit SC. Mostly because of the many choices available in that city. Overall, it served its purpose for my family.

Pros: The bedding was excellent. The bed was made perfectly.
Cons: More electrical outlets need to be installed in the rooms. Had to unhook a lamp to plug in my C-pap device. Not fun!
Location: Perfect Charleston location, across the street from Hank's a great seafood restaurant.
The bedding was as good as it gets. The room lacked electrical outlets.

Never Again

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Location was good.
We had reservations for a week at this hotel, we stayed two days! The room was so small, no place to sit other than the bed. We stayed on the third floor and the kitchen was above our room and they started at 5:00 in the morning beating and banging pots and pans along with moving table and chairs.

Tired and overpriced

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Cons: Refurbishment needed
Location: Good location
For $300 a night, we expected more. The small room they gave us overlooked the parking lot and the trash collection started at 6am right outside our window. The bathroom was small with peeling paint and dirty vents. The original window was peeling, stained and had been sealed shut. Overall, the hotel had a worn out feel to it and is in need of refurbishment. There are much better options nearby for the money.

Check in was smooth and concierge was helpful with local dining options and info. Location is great. Rooftop breakfast was lovely. Paint peeling in the room was not needed to provide the authentic historic feel but it was peeling.

Great deck area to eat breakfast and late afternoon wine and cheese! Wish there was a bar for later on in the evening.
