Great 3 star hotel

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Proximity to old charleston, and a short drive to the beaches. Ollie the trolly takes you into town, and picks you up, no fee.
Cons: Patio door, window in our room so fogged up you couldn't see out of it. They are building a new addition next door, with plans to renovate the old.
Location: You really need a car unless your only plan is to see charleston historic district.
Great view, if you are overlooking the harbour. Certainly rated themselves correctly. Rooms with two queens are very tight, but have a balcony. King rooms have a nice sitting area.

The room was amazing and we had an amazing view. The bathroom was incredible and the robes were a very nice touch. The employees were sweet and helped us with questions about the area.

HARBOR VIEW HOTEL

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: The view of the harbor from our balcony and the location.
Cons: Mentioned above. Carpet and heat & cool unit to be quiet.
Location: Convenient to Charleston, Ravenel Bridge, and good restaurants in Mt. Pleasant
The hotel staff, lobby, bar and common area was fine. The room was another story. Mainly the carpet was old and dirty and the heating unit was so noisy we had to turn it off. In hindsight I should have ask to be moved.

Outstanding!!

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Charles. The view. The service. The nearby restaurants. The ambiance.
Location: We were in town for a specific occasion so don't have much to offer on this topic. We do know we'll be back.
We were checked in by Charles. He was courteous and professional but warm. When checked into our room it exceeded our expectations. We had a panoramic view of the harbor and it just so happened the sun was setting and we were there to see nature's show. Later, on our way out to dinner, we encountered Charles again, felt like family. Room service was excellent. Can't say enough. This place was great. We'll be back!

Our visit to the hotel was wonderful. Dinner at the fish house was great. Our waiter there was Jacob D. And he was delightful.

friends trip to charleston

Posted Jan 19, 2015 on Hotels.com
fun girls trip, stayed one night. The whole experience was easy. I payed abot $50 less than I expected to pay. The resort was beautiful, and when we checked in the staff made extra effort to give us a room with a water view. I would stay here again.

Smell -e- Rooms

Posted Jan 9, 2015 on Hotels.com
I had to look at 4 rooms because of a bad smell in rooms with carpet. They either need to clean them or replace the carpet. Room 409 with queen beds had a big stain on the carpet in between the beds, that was the 1st room and 407 was not any better. Then i was put on the 3rd floor in a king with wood floors, 339 had a smell and then viewed room 340 another room with hard wood floors it did not smell as bad. ( I also suggest changing out the air filters that may help. ) The hardwood floors were dirty you could see food, spills and dust was under the bed. I don't recall seeing a mop with any of the cleaning ladies.. thank god I took my flip flops and did not have to walk on the floor with bare feet..The door to the outside kept opening causing the heat to go off in the middle of the night. The front desk help was very Courteous and very willing to help. But it was really beyond their control.
