This property is attractive, but room very small. Ample closet and drawer space. Bathroom extremely small, toilet ridiculously low and shower very difficult to use. Did not receive housekeeping services until requested on day 3. Most disappointing was lack of places to charge technology. Outlets loose and inadequate.

The property is situated on the harbor with a great view and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. Finding parking downtown wasn't an issue since we took the water taxi. It was easy access to some of the Mt. Pleasant restaurants we enjoyed. While the rooms are somewhat older they were clean and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The only negative (and it wasn't the hotel's fault) was someone in another room that had a dog barking late into the night making it impossible to sleep.

We have stayed here several times. Sadly, I was a little disappointed in condition of our room this time. Wall damage, bed damaged and fixed but, repair was obvious. The bathroom door was very heavy and seemed to be off track so it never closed well, our fireplace would not turn on and more than one light bulb was out. Overall room just felt unkept. Also expected a balcony and received what I would consider a Juliet balcony. Beautiful view but, you could not walk out and enjoy. Overall very nice resort but, could use some attention to details in our room.

Everything was great except our shower leaked huge amounts of water on the bathroom floor and our keycard to our door kept malfunctioning which required the engineers to come fix it and that took 2-3 hours both times so we couldn’t access our room. But no one else in our group had the door issue besides us.

This was our first stay- and I’m not sure if we will return… pros and cons. Cons: * we called in advance THREE different times to clarify if the showers were walk in before and after booking. We have a family member who needed an accessible room but we were told they were sold out. So- we told them a walk in shower would work but we could not have a room that had a tub and shower attached. We were reassured that the room type we booked would have a walk in shower. Upon arrival, our family member was booked in a room with a shower tub combo… then we were inform we’d the only rooms with walk in shower only were upgrades. So we had to pay extra each night to ensure our family member could stay. This wouldn’t be an issue if we hadn’t called three times and confirmed. * the fish house was overpriced and honestly absolutely terrible food. Our breakfast came out burnt and took forever. Not to mention the eggs they served us tasted and smelled like fish. * there’s a resort fee- which basically doesn’t cover anything that’s worth $50 per night. * the front desk staff was rarely helpful. Pros: Beautiful views from balcony Two pools Great bar next to the water Room sizes on the beach side have walk In showers and are spacious. Parking is easy. I don’t think I’ve written a poor review in a long time (if ever)… if location and views are important it’s fine. But better upkeep, better trained staff, and customer service could go a long way to get people back.

Perfect location! Clean! Wonderful food and atmosphere at the Reel Bar! Wonderful drinks too! Tiki Bar next door was a favorite! And The fish house is great! Nice walking around! And the best is that our Pup Finn is welcome on the property! He loves it as much as we do! See you next year Bridge run weekend!

Property seemed run down. Terrible water pressure for shower. Air conditioner took 2 days to reach desired room temperature. TV poor quality and limited channels- NCAA final four game not available. Over priced.

Harborside was great. I was hesitant based on some of the recent poor reviews, but I thought it was lovely. We had queen rooms with harbor view and balcony and the views were lovely. Room was clean and comfy.

The adjacent beach club property is beautifully maintained whereas the Harborside rooms are in disrepair . We stayed on both properties in the past and were extremely disappointed during this stay. Even though we changed rooms the accommodation s were still poor and all this at a midweek $300 a night The pool area is beautiful and the location is very nice but I’d have to reconsider staying here in the future

The space was very run down. The room was in need of a paint job. Panels in the bathroom were partially damaged, the curtains were black at the bottom, the floor was chipped and ceiling had off spots. The elevator did not run smoothly. It was advertised as 4 star and was 2 star at best. The staff was lovely and gave us $50 off our stay after trying to upsell us to the neighboring building for $60/more per night. For $300 a night there are better options. We won’t be back as cleanliness was lacking. The rooms were loud with gaps under the doors. The bed was comfortable. Be mindful the wait for Ubers is 20 minutes at times due to the location. The views are nice.

Without question, the best view in all of Charleston Harbor. Patriot's Point is adjacent to the resort, and the resort is only 10 minutes from downtown. The only two very mild complaints are for the lack of a standard (or optional) continental breakfast, and the fact that television is limited to only the basics, which is weird in 2024. I didn't go there to watch television, so it certainly didn't ruin the stay. These two minor negatives are easily offset by the free parking! Free parking is like finding a unicorn. Incredibly stunning waterfront. Will return.

They gave me the worst room in the hotel“resort”. Toilet didn’t work, walked down told the front desk. Next no door lock inside front door. Heat didn’t work the whole time I was there. After complaining to “resort” staff they fixed toilet and second day fixed the broken lock. For my inconvenience. They took off the resort amenity charges. I won’t return. How can you call a run down place a resort!

Our only real complaint was the bathroom. Lightning was very inadequate (wife couldn't see to do her makeup; I couldn't see to trim facial hair). And the shower door was VERY weird. It only covered the front half of the shower, leaving the rear half opened, which led to a very wet floor and bathmat...and a cold booty during the shower!

Very disappointed in the room. Bathroom door was coming off the hinges (pocket door) and horrible shower - not hot water and low flow. For the price paid, we expected something far superior. If our stay had been for more than 2 nights, we would have requested another room but it wasn't worth the hassle to move rooms.
