Wonderful rooftop terrace was my favorite part!

Pros: Nice updated room
Cons: Elevators were very slow
We have stayed in so many of the little boutique B&Bs and inns that Charleston has to offer but didn't want to spend a fortune on this trip and we were pleasantly surprised that this Marriott had a lot of charm of it's own. It was only a ten minute drive from everything Charleston has to offer and nice rooms that were updated. We really enjoyed going to the rooftop terrace in the evening where there was a bar and live music and a lovely view of the water.

Weekend stay

Great staff and restaurant food. Room was modest with sl musty smell but clean and comfortable. Loved the pool for a relaxing nap in the morning. Rooftop bar on the 3rd floor was definitely our favorite, as well as the fireside seating on the 1st floor patio.

Too many extra costs

Hotel was clean. Some staff very UNfriendly. Shuttle to town costs extra. Dining in the hotel was limited and not very tasty. Breakfast buffet was too costly.

3 Days in Charleston

Pros: Quiet and comfortable
Cons: Wifi reception in lobby
Location: The hotel is out of town but still within easy reach of Charleston historic district and Mound PleasantAnn
We found the hotel comfortable with more than adequate parking and at a reasonable distance (by car) from the historic centre We were particularly impressed by the standard of the cater.ng

Very nice hotel!

Very nice hotel and loved the roof top bar. Only downside was the fire alarm situation where we had to evacuate at 3am and there was little communication from hotel staff and over an hour later we were allowed to go back in. Ruined that nights sleep but other than that a nice stay.

Great hotel but not great location

Beautiful hotel, but if you are looking to experience Historic Charleston, this is not the place I would choose. It's a drive. I highly rated it in all other areas.

good hotel for the price

Not close to historic Charleston but with the hotel shuttle you can reach easily....but if you want to stay close to the historic centre this is not the hotel for you. But it has a nice pool and free parking within a good gym

Overall comfortable stay. Friendly staff. Loved the outdoor bar, but they were out of the wine I wanted.
