Close to many attractions in the city

Pros: Clean, comfortable bedding
We had a problem with the air conditioning (they were waiting on a part to arrive) but they apologized and gave our party free breakfast buffet passes. This is one of my favorite hotels in the Charleston area and I would stay again. The staff was very kind.

Nice place to stay. Only complaint was that room had no light bulbs in the lamps.

Nice hotel for couples or families in a good area

Pros: Staff, restaurant and patio area. Location.
Cons: Elevator down
Location: Good quiet location. It was just a short ride to downtown Charleston and easy to do.
Nice bright lobby with helpful staff at the counter. Our room with 2 queen beds was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the caulking in the shower on the floor was discolored and may have been mold? Also, the fan could not keep up with the steam from the shower. The shower jets and water pressure was great. The swimming pool and hot tub area was inviting. The outdoor area with fire pits was very relaxing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We had the breakfast buffet for 3 days and it included a made to order omlet and waffle station. We also had some appetizers and desserts that were very good. On small compliant was that an elevator was down for maintenance and at times we had to wait to get down from the 12th floor.

Great Hotel and Great Staff..... Excellent

Pros: Cleanliness, Staff and the extra perks listed above.
Cons: I was 100% satisfied......
Location: the location from the historic center of Charleston was a bit of a hike but the shuttle more than made up for that. . .
Extremely clean hotel and the Staff was wonderful. Troy, who drove the shuttle bus was outstanding!!! Nice amenities such as hot food in the evening and hot breakfast in the morning were unexpected treats. I would highly recommend this Marriott to anyone.

Okay hotel.

This hotel did not meet the Marriott standard because it appeared to be a bit dated. The room was small for two people with not enough sitting area. The bathroom had a shower with no tub. The staff was very nice and helpful. We would probably select a nicer hotel next time we are in Charleston.

Very nice hotel.

Pros: Loved the outdoor space tables, firepits.
Cons: Wish it was a little closer to downtown Charleston.
Location: Just a short drive to downtown.
Spent the weeeknd here with a friend everything was very nice. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Pros: Good restuarant and work out facility. Not in downtown walking district, but convenient, and a 10.00 cab ride from downtown.
I would stay there again. Restuarant in hotel is good and there is a Starbucks for your morning coffee. Great workout room, and a beautiful courtyard.

Was recently in Charleston for a wedding and stayed at this property. The staff was very pleasant and professional. However, there was apparently a leak of some sort by my window and the carpet was soaking. Also, they're under construction/renovations presently and loud hammering and other construction noises began at about 9:30 each morning. Front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. Lastly, while the common areas were lovely, rooms were old and tired appearing. Bathrooms haven't been updated in a VERY long time, and it shows. There are may lovely hotels in the Charleston area, I'd recommend looking at another property.
