Dingy.Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: The staff was pleasantly polite.
Cons: The facilities, the towels and the hot water heater.
The staff was pleasantly polite, BUT we stayed there because wanted a fitness room. This one was small, lacked towels, a weight bench, a matched set of free weights in the lower weight range, and any form of cleaning product, and one of the four old pieces of aerobic equipment, the only ones available, was out of order. This might have been tolerable had the facilities themselves been less dingy, BUT they were dingy. The "remodeled" bathroom included peeling floor vinyl and a dirty shower walls. Also that weekend the keys were malfunctioning, so we had to get the staff to open the room, the shower water was tepid and low flow, the towels were like paper and the trolley to town did not come.

Affordable and comfortable hotelPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Good quality for the price.
Cons: Staff should be more informed about public transportation from the airport; they tried to promote the use of a more expensive taxi service.
Location: Although not located in the city center, a free trolley comes by every half an hour and drops you off in beautiful downtown Charleston.
We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn, the room was clean and comfortable; the breakfast had a nice choice of different foods and a free shuttle took you to downtown Charleston.

Enjoyed our short stay at this hotel, very easy to find, pleasant/polite staff. Room very comfortably, good breakfast. Free trolley bus taking you down to the visitor center. Only stayed 1 night but would def stay again.

OK hotelPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: beds need to be more comfortable and perhaps some WD40 on the doors
Location: Location was not great. You had to drive to see Charleston. It was next door to Burger King and across the street from the VA hospital
The hotel was OK. The people who stayed across the hall from us where in the hall screaming and talking in the middle of the night. I finally had to get up and tell them to go to bed and I asked the hotel staff to please consult them about their behavior if they were staying again the next night which they did. Noise was an issue anyway as the doors were extremely loud opening or closing. The beds are not very comfortable here either. If I go to Charleston again I will try to stay in a location where I can walk to some venues which will cost more but be worth it in the end.

Comfort for the nightPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Service desk personnel were very friendly. Was afraid if I went out late I would not have a parking space.

Nice hotel, wonderful breakfast buffetPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall, the hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Breakfast buffet was wonderful! Workout room was clean and had a TV. Pool was clean, located on 3rd floor outside with nice breezes. Only downside was the trolley was not convenient, we were told by locals that you have to first ride away from downtown and then change trolleys. We didn't take it and instead just drove. Parking downtown is difficult unless you arrive early. Had a very nice time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall GoodPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel for a 2 day trip to Charleston. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fairly large and not outdated. The hot breakfast was also a plus. We liked that the hotel is in walking distance to the Riverdogs game. It would have been nice if the hotel were a little closer to historic downtown shopping and restaurants. However, it was a short car trip and there is also a nearby shuttle. It may have just been our room, but the shower was handicap accessible (not a bad thing) and it flooded the entire bathroom during each shower. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, no frills, well priced hotel in Charleston.

Good room, tight parking, but free trolleyPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a 7 floor hotel in a neighborhood of hospitals. A free trolley stops nearby, providing easy access to the tourist attractions in downtown Charleston, without the premium room rates. The trolley comes by about 20-40 minutes apart. The hotel does not have enough parking, as other reviews have noted. The free breakfast was the same every day, and was not always well-stocked. Our room was nice, clean, and quiet. The large flat screen TV had all the usual inputs, including HDMI. There were plenty of outlets for charging our mobile devices, and good Wi-Fi access in our room. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would come back again.

Great HotelPosted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: Friendliness of the staff.
Cons: A little bit far out of town but wasnt too much of a problem getting around.
The staff were so friendly and helpful from the time we arrived and checked in until the day we checked out. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was spacious and clean. Even though it was not in the centre of town there was a free tram that left right outside the hotel into the town of Charleston.

Nice & InformativePosted Aug 13, 2013
Our stay at the Comfort Inn was very pleasant and the front desk staff Joseph & his mother were so very helpful in guiding us where to eat dinner. The tattooed Moose was their best suggestion. The hotel was clean & accommodating and I would gladly stay here again!
