Nice clean hotel to sleep, not hang out in.

Hotel is close to hospitals and highways in the area and not a far cab ride from the downtown area, which is two miles away. Hotel feels a bit dated in the rooms, but overall a good place to stay if you can't book in downtown Charleston!

Hotel wasn't a bad distance from downtown area

Nice continental breakfast & clean facilities but the bed was the most uncomfortable bed EVER. My sides were sore by the time I left bcuz the bed was so hard

Pick a different Downtown Hotel

Location: Not much at all - it's near a medical facility with the best food options being Burger King and Hardees.
The hotel lobby was tiny. The parking is limited. No decent food options nearby. Not close to historic downtown Charleston - at least for walking. Also, a cell phone was plugged in on one bed so all three beds (including a roll away) were not made because of "personal items on bed."

Great location and friendly staff.

Pros: Location, parking, breakfast, friendliness of staff, comfy beds, quiet at night.
Cons: Clean rooms a little earlier and replace towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. when it has been used up.
Location: Volley Beach, Jamestown, SC Aquarium, The Battery, Rainbow Row, The Market, Great Restaurants.
Our check in was quick and efficient, room was clean, beds were very comfortable and we always found a close parking place which can be difficult in Charleston. The breakfast was great each morning as all four of our party were very satisfied. Also, the air conditioner was very easy to operate and adjust so we were always comfortable. The only complaint we had was that one day housekeeping forgot to leave us clean towels but we asked and got some right away.

You get what you pay for

This hotel is disgusting. I am not that picky, but this place is not worth the price at all. I wish I would've spent a little bit more and gotten a nicer hotel. The sheets were stained, which I did not notice until very late when I was getting into bed. I called the desk to ask for new sheets, and upon pulling the old ones off, found a dead bug on the mattress. If it hadn't been 1am, I would've just left. The A/C also couldn't keep up and I woke up sweating despite the fact that it was on full blast. Overall it was an awful experience.

Nice hotel close to free trolley stop.

Pros: The closeness to the trolley stop. The beds were very comfortable.
Location: Everything is about a 10 to 25 min free trolley ride away. Many restaurants and plenty to see in the old town. Walk thru the market, on Market Street
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to the old town by free trolley from here. Trolley stop is just outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet has hot and cold food and is good, nothing exceptional.

Good hotel for price, not walking distance to downtown but short bus ride. I would recommend for the price and hassle free parking.
