If you can, stay somewhere elsePosted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: Location to everything; walking distance
Cons: Cleanliness, general maintenance
5 hours after checking into room, we found 2, three inch cockroaches in our room/bathroom. They moved us to another room, but never checked back in with us asking if everything was okay and if we were pleased with the second room. The hotel outside and rooms need overall general maintenance and cleanliness. Would not stay there again!

Great locationPosted Jun 1, 2015
Cons: Comfortable bed, but needs better pillows.
Location: Walk to shopping on King St., the Battery, some of the best restaurants in the country, and nightlife. Bicycle Rickshaws are readily available.
This is an old style, drive up to your room motel. That being said, the room rate was very reasonable for downtown Charleston. You can walk all over the city from this home base. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Nothing to get too excited about, it is rather small. They are working on updating the rooms. The attached reataurant, Toast, is one of the best breakfasts in Charleston. All things considered, this was a very positive experience. We will be back.

EXCELLANT LocationPosted May 30, 2015
Pros: Location is perfect!
Cons: The room looked a little shabby! Could be improved! Also an elevator to the 2nd floor would be helpful!
Location: Location is central to everything!
While the room conditions weren't the best (decor), the room was clean. The location was PERFECT!! Close to everything!!

As bad as expectedPosted May 30, 2015
Pros: Location Free parking Free internet
Cons: It needs a total remodeling!
Location: It is just in the middle of action. Everything the tourist need is around.
The cheapest hotel in the area. It was previously described as being in need for a total repair. I was aware of that and yet decided to stay there for one night just due to financial reasons. It is not dirty, it is fully functional, yet it is so outdated and in poor condition, that I would close it till the completion of the repair. It looks, though that they are engaged in remodeling one of the wings of this hotel. Hopefully, it will be a good property soon. Otherwise, it is perfectly located and internet access and parking are free.

Ok hotel.Posted May 26, 2015
Have stayed in Charleston many times this was my 2nd at the Days Inn. This time it was definitely not great. The toilet keep running after you flushed, hot water took a long time and on the second day I found a shoe under the bed that was not ours. Their also was a opening around the entire door. It locked but still I like for my doors to fit in the frame. It is nice to have on site parking and it is the perfect location. The first time we stay in 2014 was much better I think the rooms in the building on the office side might be better this time we were in the second building facing the Meeting Street Hotel.

Paid for locationPosted May 25, 2015
We paid for location which is in the heart of Charleston. The hotel is two steps away from Market and East Bay. As for the hotel it is basic and could use a bit of detailed cleaning. Staff was friendly.

noisy and old hotel but close to the townPosted May 24, 2015
Pros: Close to the town
Cons: The carpet.
Party guest close to our room. They make gambling the whole night and were very loud. The carpet felt like wet and the sink from the shower was blocked. We had a double bed and we decided to gave the cleaner a tip. We layed it on my bed. When we came back in the evening my side was cleaned but not from my friend. This is impertinent and so rude. Don't give any tip!!!
