“Been back multiple times”

This is a hotel that is located dead smack in the middle of the historic distric. Park your car (free) and you can walk to everyhing. Straw market is two blocks away and here you can aquire many of the tours of the city. Restaurants are within the same two blocks. Don' tforget about their own restaurant, Toast, which has some really great food. There is a supermarket only 5-6 blocks away which makes having a microwave and a refig quite convient. Many of the tours of the outlying area (Citadel, the plantations) can easyly be reached from this. We droove, but there are tours and shuttles that will take you there so you don't have to drive. The rooms are nicly done and comfortable, there is a safe in each room. The front desk staff is more than willing to help in what ever way they can to make your stay enjoyable. We have been to Charleston three times this year and evey time we stay it's been here. When we return again, it's going to be there as well.

“Would stay here again!”

This hotel was within walking distance to most things in the historic district. It is also one of only a few hotels that have free parking which was a huge plus. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant onsite, Toast, had a great breakfast. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

“Great place to stay!”

Day's Inn Historic Charleston more than met my expectations without the pricetag of other area hotels/inns. The location was very convenient as I could walk to area restaurants, shops and take in the sights of the historic streets without moving my car. Comfortable bedding and choice amenities...absolutely a great place to stay!

“Great location and parking!!”

My mom and I stayed here for just a quick overnight trip and it was GREAT! It is walking distance to the market and King street shopping. We were able to leave our car parked in the hotel lot until 3:00 the next day so we were able to conveniently shop and go to lunch. Very fun and would definitely stay again! Great price for downtown Charleston.

“Comfort, Location & Value !!!”

I was expecting a tired dingy place, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only does this property have LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, but the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room, though small, was clean, comfortable, & newly decorated with a frig, microwave, in-room safe, iron, hair dryer, plentiful towels, etc., everything I needed except the big price, including new bedspreads, a comfortable mattress & big fluffy pillows. There is even a small but charming pool area. Parking, though cramped, was free in a city where parking is at a premium. The restaurant, Toast, is fabulous for breakfast or dinner, whether one is staying here or not. This is NOT a new, fancy, upscale place, but it is an incredible value in an incredible location, close to the Market area as well as King St. shopping. I have stayed at the big upscale property in the next block, but for the money, I really can't find anything to criticize, and I'll definitely stay here next trip.

“Great price and location”

My ONLY complaint revolves around minor maintenance. Some loose fixtures here or a loose towel bar there. Not trying to be overly picky, it's just a pet peeve. Otherwise, it was FANTASTIC. My wife and I really enjoyed it's location within the historic district, and the room was very welcoming and comfortable. Will definitely use this one when we return!

“The best for your money”

We couldn't have selected a better location. We were in the center of everything. Easy walking distance to most attractions. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The best part was free parking opposed to the other hotels that charged per day. The room offered a frig, microwave, and coffee maker. I was surprised to see that it had a safe for my valuables at no extra charge. I was more than satisfied!!!!
