Great location close to the market in Charleston.

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Location, free parking, and free WiFi.
We had always seen the Days Inn and decided to try it over the New Years weekend, especially since many other hotels were either booked or significantly more expensive. Although this is a budget motel in downtown Charleston, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again given the value for the price we paid. The motel was clean (recently renovated) and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do in Charleston.

Nice location.

The hotel is expensive. Nice location and staff. Good - include parking, location. Bad - very noisy and the beds are not comfortable.

This hotel is in a great location for walking around the city and they will call a tour company to come and pick you up if you want to do that, too.

Great staff, wonderful location, updates needed

Posted Jan 5, 2015
The staff was very helpful, knowledge of the area and friendly. The hotel is in a wonderful location, in the heart of Charleston's historic district. It needs updating, the beds were small but the rooms were clean.

WAY overpriced for the condition and quality!!!

Pros: The ONLY thing about this hotel that is somewhat good is its proximity to the historic district
Cons: Demolish the facility and build a respectable hotel worth $200.00 per night. At least TRY to update the facilty and CARE about they condition.
Location: The location is its only saving grace. The local restaurants and activities are fantastic. Great food and great service from the restaurants and shops
The value of this hotel was VERY disappointing. The room was unpleasant.Did not like that the room doors were direct to the outside The room bed, decor, and bath fixtures were in deteriorated condition. The maintenance of the room facilities was sub par. The toilet continually ran. I had to turn off valve to stop it from running. Cleanliness was not a priority. Dirty and stained tub, very dusty corners, and the carpet felt as if it had not been cleaned since the Revolutionary War. I would not recommend this hotel unless the you can stand the poor conditions.

Inexpensive hotel in the heart of Charleston.

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Close to shopping, dining, all attractions.
Cons: Bathrooms are being renovated.
I've stayed at this hotel for many years when visiting Charleston with friends. Clean, parking for one vehicle per room and inexpensive for the area. We leave our car parked and walk everywhere. One block to the Market. Great place for those on a budget!

Good hotel in the heart of town.

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Location / staff.
Cons: Update which is currently underway. Breakfast would be a plus.
Location: Market, carriage rides within walking distance, 6 blocks from waterfront park, 8 blocks or so from the Battery.
This Day's Inn is older than most and is currently under renovation. We stayed in one of the non renovated rooms. Even old, it was still a good room. Microwave and frig were a bonus. Cable TV was average to poor but we didn't come to Charleston to watch TV. The location was perfect.... less than 1 block from the market. Everything was within walking distance. The staff's friendliness far exceeded my expectations. Will stay there again.

Great value

This hotel is a perfect way to see charleston on a budget. The location is right in the heart of the historic district with great access to everything downtown has to offer. The room is clean and fairly comfortable. The staff was friendly and the hotel was safe. I would stay here again as it allows you to save your money from a more expensive hotel to spend on the great food!

Perfect for a cheap stay in the perfect location!!

The room has a fridge and a microwave! The room is not the cleanest and the nicest but for what you pay for it is perfect. Also the location is the best! Right in the middle of historic Charleston and free parking!!!! The oarking saves you $20/day itself.
