Affordable hotel.Posted May 3, 2014
Pros: Convenient. Comfortable bed. Valet parking.
Location: Convenient to all. Can be crowded in surrounding streets if a cruise ship is in that day.
The hotel was fine but our room was in a noisy location. We were in a room off the courtyard which required us to walk through the restaurant and go outside again into the courtyard to get to our room. While the duplex room did provide privacy for our daughter who stayed on the pull out sofa downstairs, people would sit in the courtyard at all hours talking. The sound was amplified because of the surrounding building. The courtyard was off the restaurant/bar and at 2:30 am we had to call the front desk about the noise.

Centrally located and comfortablePosted Apr 21, 2014
The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable and the staff more than helpful, but as dumb luck would have it, we experienced pouring rain the entire 3 days of our trip. I really wished the hotel had umbrellas to offer.. But they didnt (they had a cew, then ran out), and even though we were centrally located enough to go to a tshirt store around the corner and buy raincoat type slickers, it seemed unfortunate that the hotel couldn't offer us an umbrella.. Even if there was a small charge.. Other than that we felt relaxed in the hotel and enjoyed the breakfast buffet alot!

Next door to MarketPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel, in an old building, with a new hotel feel.
Cons: The bathroom was small, and a little challenging to manage three people trying to share.
Location: Perfect location! Right next door to the Slave Market! Lots of shopping, dining, and sightseeing within walking distance!!
Was visiting Charleston with my sister-in-laws from New Hampshire. They had never seen Charleston before, and we were only there for one night. This hotel was the perfect location! We were able to experience a lot of Charleston in a small amount of time! Everyone there was friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful!!

Great location and beautiful hotel.Posted Apr 12, 2014
The location is awesome!! I liked this hotel but I rather felt that it would have been so much more enjoyable if everything wasn't extra. The internet was extra, the parking was extra, the breakfast was extra and not much better than the freebies given at many of the other hotels in the area. Also, it was a buffet breakfast but they tried to pretend that you were getting served and then they were very slow to bring more coffee. For the same price you could go out and actually get waited on. I loved the actual hotel facility and it's location but next time I'll stay at the Indigo Inn where I have stayed in the past--for the same great location you get free internet, free breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese, and free parking...no comparison for the value. The rooms at the Doubletree are nicer (but not that much nicer) but we really didn't spend much time there.

In the heart of DowntownPosted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Free coffee and cookies!
This hotel was very nice and close to all the charm of Charleston South Carolina. We walked to every event that we wanted to attend. I would stay there again.

Located in historic Charleston--it was an easy walk to points of interest. The people, the weather and the food were wonderful.

Nice hotel walking distance of restaurants & shopsPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel was beautiful & the staff was nice & helpful.
Cons: Fix the ticking noise in the room & the coffee maker only worked on one side.
Location: We went to the aquarium & a nice seafood restaurant nearby. They are a lot of shopping & restaurants nearby.
Our room was in the courtyard area. A lot of noise (people talking or smoking) which was annoying. Also, every time the heat went off we would hear a ticking noise that lasted over a minute. It was very distracting & hard to get to sleep. Also, heard a lot of noise from people next to us. It sounded like they were downstairs in our living area.

Nice hotel in the middle of everythingPosted Feb 12, 2014
We had a good experience here. The location is great, right next to the market and within walking distance of everything. The staff was very helpful, both the front desk and housekeeping. I would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located - very comfortable!Posted Feb 8, 2014
Pros: Location is great, centrally located with great dinning and shopping all in walking distance.
Cons: A refrigerator in the room would have been nice. Be prepared to pay for parking, rates are comparable to other downtown properties.
Location: Dinning, sightseeing, all in walking distance - lots of golf courses within short driving distance- don't miss Pioneer Point.
Spent a week and loved every minute of our stay.
