Nice hotel downtown

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Nice downtown location within walking distance of restaurants
Cons: Noise from courtyard and from adjacent rooms was annoying. Cons rearranging bedrm furn so that overly amorous couples cannot be heard in the next rm
Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the happy hour wine and cheese. Nice hardwood floors and a very comfy bed.

Great stay, parking just across the street. Good eating establishments close. The courtyard gatherings were fun.

Beautiful rooms in heart of Charleston

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Given location and standard of accommodation excellent value for money. It seemed that staff were not well trained in customer care. Reception were unable to direct me to the nearest convenience store which turned out to be 2 small blocks away. Housekeeping were obviously frustrated at finding me still in the room at about 9 am.

Great location

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Overall location
Room was very clean, much smaller than I anticipated. Basically a bed was the only thing that could fit in the room so there was not much room for our belongings.

Excellent location and fantastic staff

The Elliott house is in an ideal location, close to many of the best restaurants and shopping. It is also close to many museums and the market. It is a smaller hotel, so you have a bit more of a personal experience.

Close to downtown and easy to walk everywhere

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: We prefer off-beat places rather than fancy hotels so this fit the bill
Cons: It was a bit noisy especially when the local restaurants start recycling their glass bottles at 7am in the morning
Location: Plenty of stuff to do, we did not have a car and walked everywhere. We enjoyed visiting Fort Sumter especially the boat ride
We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and spent most of the time enjoying wonderful Charleston and not at the Hotel. The food and restaurants in Charleston are excellent. Loved the architecture and history.
