Nice hotel but a bit farther from downtown

Posted Oct 16, 2014
great hotel and wonderful stay, especially enjoyed the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres but, was a little misleading on how far away it was from downtown. I thought it was within walking but, it wasn't.

Great location, lots of freebies

Excellent facility, great location, unusual architecture. Especially appreciated the free cooked to order breakfasts and happy hours. Could use a restaurant and decent convenience shop. Couldn't even buy a bandaid.

Good value and historic charm.

Excellent complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Since it's a historic building, enjoy it for its charm over modern conveniences. Good location with several restaurants within short walking distances.

Old Citadel converted to Hotel!

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Decor, atmosphere, Happy Hour and full breakfast!
Cons: All good
Location: Around corner by parking deck - small alley with great restaurants and bar! Vincent Chicco's, Social Club, Coastal to mention a few.
Our stay at the Embassy Suites in Charleston was perfect! The full breakfast and Happy Hour every evening from 5:30pm-7:30pm was great! The breakfast room was really attractive with outside seating an option. The made to order omelettes were awesome! Great restaurants right around the the Embassy Suites and our walk into downtown Charleston was easy! Would definitely recommend and go back to Embassy Suites!

Nice hotel- good location

The breakfast here is outstanding, pretty much eliminating the need for lunch. The happy hour and snacks were great after a long day of sightseeing. The staff was helpful and courteous, we would definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel for exploring Historic Charleston

We had a great time at this hotel. The made to order omlettes were terrific and we were able to walk everywhere in Historic Charleston. The manager's nightly reception was also a very nice feature. We would stay here again.
