Nice airport location

The rooms were large and bathrooms updated and clean. The only complaint I have is how I had to book this hotel room at the rate I paid. It was early afternoon when I called the hotel to get a rate. Expedia rates were twenty some dollars cheaper. Instead of the hotel matching that rate, they told me I would have to book it online instead. It would have been much simpler for them to price match and save me the time of stopping my car, getting online on my phone and filling out the necessary information for Expedia. I understand hotels send other booking sites some rooms at discounted prices when they aren't filled...but it wasn't the easiest for me when traveling. Other than this, we weren't at the hotel for long but were happy with our stay.

Nice & Noisy

Pros: Location close to the Tanger Outlets
Cons: Security when you have a college basketball team staying at the hotel for noise reduction.
The hotel was very nice however, there was a college basketball team staying there and it was noisy. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Hateful front desk

My 8 year old son and I checked in around 2am, after visiting with family up the road. When I made the reservation, I was under the impression that pets were allowed. I brought my 7 lb dog in to eat, and get my son in bed. At 4am, after the front desk guy knocked on the door saying pets were not allowed, I took my dog to the car where he slept until we checked out. The front desk guy put a $100 pet charge on my bill, although my dog slept in the car all night! When I spoke to him about it he refused to take it off, and was extremely rude about it, pointing to a sign on the wall that said "no pets allowed". He also said, "we'll you will have to take this up with Expedia"! Terrible experience!

Thank you for your Feedback. There are only 2 Marriott Brands that except pets when you are traveling, the Residence Inn by Marriott and the Townplace Suites by Marriott. I am sorry your were under the impression that we accepted pets. We do our best to keep websites updated to specifically state that we do not accept pets. Thank you for your feedback.

It all worked out for me, but others might like to know that hotel shuttle doesn't start running until 7:30 AM. They arranged a prompt taxi for me. Pool was available and was freshly cleaned but too cold for comfortable swimming.

For those needing shuttle service outside of those times there is also a complimentary shuttle service that picks up at the bus stop just outside of our hotel and loops to the Convention Center, Boeing and the Airport.

Last minute reservation while on the road. Pleasantly surprised. Nice, courteous and helpful. Decent breakfast. Good shopping. Great for flying in and out quickly.

You can walk across the street to the outlets for anyone who enjoys shopping! It's about a $35 cab ride to downtown charleston.

Thank You for styaing wtih us at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Charleston Airport. Yes, Tanger Outlet Shopping Center is just outside of our driveway which makes it very easy for travlers to access shops and resturants. In Mid -February CARTA, our local transportation system will be staring a route called NASH. This route will pick up at Tanger Outlet Shopping Center, which is walking distance from us and take you downtown to the Visitors Cetner for just $6 roundtrip so no more $35 cab rides to downtown!. I hope you will get the change to use it on your next visit.

Stayed here as a last minute birthday getaway. Stayed in neighboring hotels before and wanted to try something better. I'm so glad I booked this hotel. It was nice and clean. The staff was friendly, we were able to check in an hour and a half earlier than the reg check in time. The room was very clean, spacious and modern. Will definitely stay here in the future. It's witching walking distance of Tanger outlets, Wal- mart and many food spots.
