“Friendly”

I was very pleased with the hotel. Not only was it well maintained, the service was excellent. All the personnel and extremely helpful and most of all FRIENDLY!

“Pleasantly Surprised”

This was our first time at Hampden Inn. Expectations were low..just needed a place to stay to catch a flight early the next morning. We were very pleased with the room..flat screen television, great room and furnishings. The only problem occurred when we heard loud banging noises coming from outside. We reported it to the front desk and they immediately sent security to check it out. The noise stopped shortly thereafter. We'll definitley return to a Hampden Inn!

“Great staging point in the Charleston area”

Have been to the area many times. Stayed here twice recently and had very good experiences. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast buffet is ample and varied. Staff is cordial and accommodating. Location is central to shopping, the beaches, sports and entertainment venues, food and a quick freeway ride to the historic district (whose accomodations tend to be fancy and expensive).

“Clean, convenient lodging”

Good location near Airport and just off Route 26 (but look sharp for that left turn behind the Mobil station.) Clean, comfortable room, although somewhat small. Reasonably priced. I'd stay there again.

“Nice hotel”

No complaints about the hotel itself, but it was in a questionable neighborhood. Historic district was not too far away. Cost was much better than hotels in historic district.

“Extra charge for kids”

I didn't read the fine lines... They charged $5 for my 2 kids which I never knew! We travel often but this was the first time charged for the kids(11 and 6 yrs). The room was small and old but they placed new dark brown furnitures all around the room and bathroom and tried to make it look nice. The bathroom sink was too high my 6 yr old needed a stool to reach it!! Breakfast was neat.

“Not Impressed With The Service”

I had to retrieve my own soap and kleenex when housekeeping did not restock. And I did not receive my wake up call TWICE!

“Weekend Visit”

You can tell that the hotel has been renovated but the smell is very stale and musty. It's very overwhelming. If they could fix that issue I would give this hotel a higher rating.
