“A near perfect hotel”

A great well located hotel with comfortable room and pleasant staff. A good breakfast but shortage of tables a small problem. Convenient parking.

“Perfect location for first visit to Charleston”

Arrived at street address 345 Meeting Street using GPS but actually the lobby entrance and city operated parking garage ($14/day with in/out privileges for hotel guests) is on John Street. The hotel is next door to the Charleston Visitors Center and across from the Charleston Museum with trolly stop for all three free City Trolly routes across John Street from hotel next to the Charleston Museum. Couldn't have picked a better hotel and location for our first visit to Charleston. It is an easy walk to many nice restaurants on John Street and King Street. It is only a 15-20 min walk to the South Carolina Aquarium and the Ft Sumter Visitor Center and Ferry. It can also be reached by a free trolly. Free trolly can get you anywhere you need to go except if you want to venture over to Mount Pleasant across the Cooper River. Easy access from Hotel by car and worth the trip to see the sights over there; otherwise, just leave the car in the garage. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent complementary hot breakfast to start the day. Our room was small but comfortable and clean with a king size bed and 32" HD TV.

“Wedding weekend in Charleston”

I cannot say enough about the staff at the Hampton Inn in Charleston. It was my daughter’s wedding weekend so you can imagine the stress we were feeling. From the doorman to the front desk staff we were made to feel welcome. They were very helpful when we need to change to a larger room for our little bridezilla to get ready with all of her bridesmaids. Dad got kicked out of the room and the people at the desk were kind enough to let him us an empty room to change. They were also very helpful arranging transportation, getting clothes pressed and answering any questions. The Breakfast was good with a good selection and, again the staff that took care of that was very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The Inn itself is situated perfectly with easy access to all the attractions. We used "Bike Taxi" to get around whenever we wanted to head up town. This is our third stay with the Hampton and will definitely stay there on our next visit.

We could walk or cross the street and get a trolley to wherever we wanted to go. I can't think of a better location to be in in Charleston.

“No problem stay!”

Everyone at the hotel was very nice. We were able to check in to our room immediately when we arrived 2 hours early. Our Bellman answered all of our questions and gave us ideas on where to eat. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast each morning. Only 1 block away from the shopping district and really close to restaurants, tours, etc. We will definitely stay here when we go back!

From the moment we entered the hotel we were received very warmly. The staff were informitive, kind, helpful and professional. The breakfast was first class. We did not have one complaint about the hotel or staff. We would return again.
