Location was perfect!. 10 Min walk to Waterfront.

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Location!!!! Convenient walking distance to just about everything in downtown Charleston. Clean, up to date rooms. Staff was exceptional.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Free trolley directly across the street. SHORT walk to restaurants and shops. Visitors center across the street. Airport transportation right there.
Our flight came in at 10:30am. My husband and I took the bus (Carta) from the Airport $3 each which was about a 15 min ride. We arrived by 11:30, check in wasn't until 3pm. Brandon, the manager had us in our room by noon. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The trolley pick up and drop off is right across the street and so is the visitors center which is convenient if you are booking excursions to plantations, beaches, etc. We were offered bottled waters each morning before leaving the hotel. The free breakfast was above par. Hotel staff was very professional, courteous, and friendly. Not one bad experience. Oh, Brandon also offered us late check out 2pm as our flight wasn't until 4pm. Very nice vacation, will be back soon.

Great hotel in a good location

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Booked this hotel for Labor Day weekend. It is perfectly located. The hotel was within walking distance of many attractions. You will have many options of restaurants. Go down king street and you will find all types of food. The room was big and spacious. The AC worked well. The pillows were small, but comfortable. The restroom had plenty of towels and most necessities. If you plan to watch tv, you'll have plenty of channels to chose from. I didn't get to go to the pool, but did see plenty of people enjoying it. The free breakfast buffet was awesome!!! We had many options to include waffles, biscuits and gravy, old fashioned oat meal, cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and much more. They have free coffee and tea all day long. At 5:30 they put out warm chocolate chip cookies, but act fast because they are usually gone within 10 min. The parking is not free since you will need to park in a public parking garage. The staff is great. They were all firefly and helpful.

Great Location and Value Downtown

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Nice lobby, friendly/professional/helpful staff; pool (a bonus in the heat) central location, really good, free breakfast, nice bed
Cons: Mold smell!!! Parking price!
Location: On King Str - great restaurants and shopping near Marion Square - farmers market on Saturdays. In the heart of the city, College of Charleston et al.
I would recommend this hotel. I will most likely stay here again. Location is everything in Charleston. This hotel is a good value with its free breakfast and nicely-priced rooms. A few things were of concern. I don't like the additional 16 dollars a night for parking. The pool was less than clean, and was even closed for a while in the late morning due to chlorine/chemical issues. It was cloudy and not skimmed when we did go in. The shower was REALLY loud. You could hear people from every other room at all times of the day and night when they took a shower. No vent in the bathroom. The hotel has a bit of a mildew problem. We saw dehumidifiers and fans in the hallways that were presumably being used when the rooms were being cleaned. Our room smelled strongly of carpet refresher. My allergies went away whenever we were out of the room. Be prepared!

Nice hotel downtown.

The hotel is right across the street from the visitor's center. Very convenient to get around town with the free trolley stop also across the street by the visitor center. The is a plethora of restaurants and shoppes within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.
