I was very satisfied with our Hotel stay at the Hampton Inn downtown location. Not only was it near to the trolley and visitors center, but easy access to many shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean and the staff was always so polite and helpful. Great continental breakfast served. Thank you

Great location

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Room was quiet. Location is great.
Location: Right across from hotel is the visitor center, where you can catch a tour bus or the free trolley.
On arrival room was stuffy-A/C not working. Had to have maintenance come fix it. Could not use microwave-found it to be unplugged. Only plug the cord could reach was already in use-had to unplug the fridge to use the microwave. Asked for no service to room one day-got service anyway. Breakfast was mediocre and very crowded. I don't like the use of duvets on the bed-you have to choose between being too cold with sheet only, or being too hot with duvet. For almost $200 per night, I expected more.

Nice Hotel slow internet

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: large everything
Cons: internet speed
Location: great location from airport bus drops you off at 1 stop right next to hotel 30 yards for 4 bucks per person on the hour . Location is the best.
Free breakfast except for powder eggs. Slow internet due to demand. Nice office with direct connection works well . Overall 4.5/5 with the internet being the biggest issue

Great hotel/Stupendous location

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Location. Breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: I had a great experience here.
Location: It is perfectly situated. Across the street from the visitor's center and the free trolley.
Just returned from a lovely visit to Charleston. I'm thrilled to have stayed at The Hampton Inn Charleston. It is directly across the street from the Visitor's Center which made it a cinch to plan tours and explore the city. The hotel staff is gracious and friendly. The breakfasts served in the morning are generous and delicious. There is something on the menu for EVERYONE. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The free trolley has a pick-up directly across the street from the hotel. This place is a winner!

Nice place, grat location

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Hotel was clean, staff very helpful and personable. The breakfast was a nice feature.
Location: Location was near some very nice restaurants, the action on King St., and it was nice to have the trolley stop so close.
Great location near nice restaurants, shopping, with a trolley stop just outside the entrance to take you to the attractions around town. The rooms are very nice, staff very helpful, and the breakfast is better than most. Enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the city, sites, and wonderful restaurants.

This was an excellent place to stay. It was most conveniently located right across from the Visitors Center and very handy for getting to the vans for the plantation tours. There were many points of interest within walking distance as well as a number of fine restaurants. The room was comfortable and the desk staff was very helpful. My only suggestion is to get down early for the breakfast; otherwise you'll have to sit at a high counter rather than a table.

GREAT HOTEL FOR PRICE DOWNTOWN

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: HOW FRIENDLY EVERYONE WAS AT FRONT DESK, DOOR MEN AS WELL. KITCHEN STAFF WAS ALSO VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
Cons: CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND TO IMPROVE. OH YE.S I CAN, A BIKE RACK FOR GUESTS THAT RENT WHILE STAYING AT HOTEL
Location: GET WALKING DISTANCE TO KING STREET. TROLLY STOP RIGHT ACROSS STREET. WALKING DISTANCE TO RENT BIKES THAT WE RENTED FOR THE ENTIRE STAY.
GREAT HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION, AND PLAN TO STAY HERE AGAIN THIS FALL OF 2015. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WOULD AND WILL RECOMMEND TO ALL FRIENDS AND FAMILY. BREAKFAST HELPS OFFSET THE COST OF DOWNTOWN HOTELS.
