Hotel in the heart of Historic Downtown Charleston

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Location
Location: We walked to the Fort Sumter tour out of Liberty Square which was very convenient. We also had a large selection of restaurants to choose from!
We wanted to experience the atmosphere of the Historic Downtown of Charleston and we were not disappointed. This hotel is across the street from the Visitors Center and within walking distance to lots of restaurant and shopping choices! Good hot/cold breakfast served as well. Plan to pay for parking in the next door parking garage as there is little to none in the immediate area. Room was clean, beds comfy and staff was very courteous! Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel, great location

Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: location, price, staff
Location: Next to free trolley stops which will drop you at any of the main areas of interest. good restaurants within yards
Comfortable hotel in a great location. Opposite tourist info centre, Charleston museum and stops for all 3 free trolley buses. The free breakfast was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We spent 6 great days here.

Great Location

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
The hotel was beautiful, and Other than having a wonderful comfortable room, we were thrilled with the location. Right across th street from the Visitors Center, free trolleys that can take you to almost any locations you want to visit in downtown Historic Charleston. Also many many great restaurants and bars close by. Coast Restaurant is almost next door and it was great. All in all I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly. Also complimentary breakfast everyday was a definite plus and food was good.

Great hotel relatively close to the historic dist.

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Very well kept. Staff super friendly and breakfast, with all the food varieties, was great.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Visitors center and trolley next door made historic district easy to get to. Patriots Point only a short drive.
Most pleasant experience. Hotel was easily accessible. Especially clean and the breakfast was exceptional. Only downer was the city run parking..an unexpected expensive cost to the stay.

Good location in Historic District

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: The room was very dark.
Location: It was difficult at times to get a trolley, but that was the case at most stops. The Visitors Center was directly across the street.
It was a fairly quiet area. The room was fine, except for a sofa bed that smelled like urine. They replaced the sofabed promptly. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Great location

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Room was quiet. Location is great.
Location: Right across from hotel is the visitor center, where you can catch a tour bus or the free trolley.
On arrival room was stuffy-A/C not working. Had to have maintenance come fix it. Could not use microwave-found it to be unplugged. Only plug the cord could reach was already in use-had to unplug the fridge to use the microwave. Asked for no service to room one day-got service anyway. Breakfast was mediocre and very crowded. I don't like the use of duvets on the bed-you have to choose between being too cold with sheet only, or being too hot with duvet. For almost $200 per night, I expected more.
