10 minutes to downtown Charleston!Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: The price was half what I expected in comparison to downtown Charleston. Lots of little extras that I didn't expect to find.
Everything was perfect. A SHORT DRIVE to downtown Charleston.

Nice Hotel close to downtown Charleston.Posted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: My husband is a big coffee/breakfast person and was in awe of the breakfast area.
Location: Was not a pleasure visit but is near Charleston which is a resort town.
Of the two ice storms we have had in South Carolina both were on the scheduled day of our court hearing. The first one at the end of January was postponed and the hotel was very flexible in changing our check in date. Our court date was rescheduled for February 12 so we arrived on the 11th and decided if the hearing was canceled again at least we were somewhere nice and comfortable.

Wonderful in Every Way!Posted Feb 10, 2014
We loved our stay here. Seven other family members were also very pleased. The hotel seems brand new, with a pleasing decor. The staff could not have been nicer of more helpful. There are little touches in amenities that made us feel cared for, such as chewy cookies and apples every day, Neutrogena toiletries, make-up remover towlettes for the ladies, plenty of sockets for phone and laptop charging, and best of all, a fantastic breakfast. Eggs, sausage, fresh-made waffles, a variety of bagels, and the most delicious, fresh coffee cake are only some of the items available! The lobby and breakfast room are inviting and comfortable. Plus, it was very affordable--a great value! We will definitely come back on our next visit to Mt. Pleasant.

Close to CharlestonPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Comfort, continental breakfasts.
Cons: It's a bit dark inside, and I like a light that turns on in the room with a wall switch, rather than just the small light in the entry way.
Overall we had a pleasing experience at this hotel. Beds and pillows were comfortable, air temps were controlled by us and were very accurate. Breakfast was fine. We had one issue that was dealt with very well. Upon arrival in our room I washed my hands and realized the pipes below were not connected as all the drain water splashed to the floor. Staff responded immediately; fixed the pipes and cleaned up the mess. We had a pleasant stay here. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do, and we'd recommend it and we'd stay here again.

Wow ..very nicePosted Jan 6, 2014
We had a 4 night stay planned in Charleston for our anniversary and we stayed here on our last two nights. The other time was spent in North Charleston near the outlets. North Charleston area near the outlets was not great ..but that's a different story. Just remember your gas mask if you stay there for the stench of the paper plant upwind! Anyway back to this Hampton inn. The staff was great in letting us in to our room early, as we really needed a shower and some relaxation. The room was so nice with a comfortable bed, good heat, nice TV etc.. The HVAC unit was a tad loud. Now granted ..coming from 2 nights in Aloft hotel in N Charleston probably made this room seem a lot more dreamy than it really was but all in all we really liked it. Breakfast was kind of a bust, waayy too many people down there. That could have been due to my 9:30 arrival for breakfast, but I skipped the second day. I just won't get up early even for a free breakfast when im on vacation (except for maybe the waffles at the Biltmore inn in Asheville) :) I would highly suggest this hotel as an alternative to the home wood suites up the road, it is very nice and has delicious evening snacks but the price is ridiculous!

Very Happy With Another Hampton. A Little Far From Downtown, But Worth The Price. Great Breakfast, Comfortable Beds, We Loved Our Suite..2 Queen Beds And A Queen Sofa Sleeper. We Even Had A Microwave and A Bag Of Popcorn Waiting For Us To Watch Some TV To Wind Down From Our Day. Nice Touch.
