Wonderful spacious rooms, next to the harborPosted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: The staff was excellent! Breakfast was brought to the room and was included in the price of the room.
Cons: The cost of parking should be included in the price paid of the stay.
Location: Close to the harbor, restaurants and shopping. Spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff.
We were only passing through and stayed for two nights. Will definitely return for a longer stay. Too much to see in such a small amount of time. The city was awesome!!

Luxury in CharlestonPosted Jan 25, 2015
Location: Check out Waterfront Park, Vendue's rooftop bar across the street from the HarborView, and the City Market. Plenty of great restaurants on East Bay.
The HarborView Inn did not disappoint. Not only do they have a great location, friendly staff, and comfortable, spacious rooms, they also have complimentary amenities like a wine and cheese reception, nightly cookies and milk and continental breakfast with delicious pastries. Highly recommend a stay at the HarborView!

Small, relaxed, elegant inn overlooking the harborPosted Jan 1, 2015
We had an inside room in the top floor near the rooftop. Beautiful sunrises over the water! Breakfast is delivered to your room, the rooftop or the atrium. We had fantastic weather for December! The temperpedic bed was so restful. The staff was very attentive. We want to return. The location is great.

Good, but not greatPosted Dec 22, 2014
The Harbourview definitely has location going for it - it's close to the center of town and on the water, but not so close that it wasn't quiet and calm. If you had a bay view room, the experience might be quite luxurious. Alas, my room looked over an electrical station and was right off the central atrium (which made privacy a bit of an issue). Nonetheless, it was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The complementary breakfasts were adequate but not remarkable (standard hotel fare) though you could have it served in a variety of spots - your room, the atrium, the roof terrace. Lots of little touches tried to elevate the experience - wine and cheese before the dinner hour, hot cookies and milk late at night. Perhaps fewer of these little amenities but of higher quality might elevate this good hotel to the realm of great. At the end of the stay, I discovered at the airport that the bellhop had put another guest's bag in my car's trunk. Though the hotel was apologetic about the mistake and minimized the inconvenience, it's indicative of a certain lack of attention to detail. This is a decent choice if you want a hotel on the water, but make sure to get a harbor view room.

Awesome hotel to relax and enjoy the viewPosted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Wine, cookies and milk and breakfast in the room, which was included in the price of the room. the staff and service were excellent
Cons: I did not notice anything that need improvement.
Location: Awesome location. The trolley stops at the hotel and it takes you all over the downtown. Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Loved this hotel, especially the warm cookies & milk at night and the wine & cheese during cocktail hour!!! It had such a warm and cozy feel. The rooms were really nice and really comfortable beds. The insulation of the room was excellent. ( It was hard to tell if someone was in the bathroom.) Wonderful views of the city and harbor from the rooftop. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return and stay there myself! .

Beautiful hotel great lcationPosted Nov 16, 2014
Cons: My room looked out on electrical transformer, but the price was so good I really didn't care.
Location: French quarter, waterfront park, shopping, the market everyone is walking distance. The restaurants are amazing and all walking distance.
This hotel was beautiful in every way. Public areas were wonderful. Staff was professional and friendly. Locatin was amazing, in the heart of everything . Breakfast offered in the room, rooftop deck (to cold this time of year), or public area. Cookies and milk in the evening. These were great touches. Not to mention candy dispenser in the lobby with regular and peanut M&M s.

Great locationPosted Nov 12, 2014
Walking distance to most locations, right at water front park, water taxi nearby for patriot point. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Had 4th floor city view room, don't look down but look out at nice skyline and church steeples. Roof top terrace was enjoyable. We would stay here again.
