Fabulous Boutique Hotel in Perfect Location

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Lovely service, beautiful, quiet and a great location.
Cons: I cannot think of a thing lacking.
Location: Located on the Harbor just south of the park. It is a 5 minute walk to the Market or to the King Street Stores. Many great restaurants are nearby.
I drove up to the Hotel and was received by a very friendly valet; checked into a fabulous room with a Harbor View and Balcony. Our room was lovely, a welcome basket of local delights; it was fully equipped with a fireplace, newly remodeled bathroom, and had tour booklets and local magazines. The hotel is quiet and quite lovely; reminding me of the gracious, hospitable hotels of years ago. They bring a real breakfast to your room (or you can enjoy breakfast on the rooftop). They also have wine and cheese at sunset, and offer tea and coffee M&Ms all day. The Valet was prompt and helpful, never expecting a tip but gracious when offered. The housekeepers and room attendants were sweet and helpful. My Daughter and I walked from the Hotel across the entire Historic area. We had the most excellent food and coffees near by. It was a delight staying here and will likely return.

Harbor View Inn Charleston SC

Posted May 19, 2015
Very nice quaint hotel in a perfect location! We decided not to rent a car because everything was in walking distance--besides, there are many pedi-taxis around to take you anywhere downtown if you get tired. We had our free breakfast on the roof patio every morning. They had free wine and cheese every evening and cookies and milk at night. Staff was excellent-very helpful with organizing any excursions

Best location for walking to points of interest.

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: The intimate atmosphere, pleasant staff, wonderful location.
Cons: The view for some rooms was not the most pleasant.
Location: Location was excellent--we walked to all points of interest -Market, restaurants, historic places, tour by carriage, Fort Sumter--never needed our car
We were extremely pleased with our first visit to Charleston and the HarbourView Inn. Everything we needed to see was within walking distance. The surrounding area of the Inn was so relaxing and pleasant. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The security was reassuring, also. We had friends come to the hotel for a short visit/dinner and they were very impressed with the Inn. Already, we have recommended HarbourView to our friends and family. Greatest hotel we have every visited.

Exceptional experience & got a great deal

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Had booked at good rate directly through this hotel, then saw new lower rate by Expedia. Hotel kindly let me book through Expedia & allowed me to cancel with them later. Staff could not have been any nicer, professional or accommodating. They even upgraded my room for a better view at no added cost to me. A very nice "better-than-continental" b'fast included, as well as 2 nights with complimentary valet parking. Many extras not found at other hotels (an afternoon tea, manager's reception & cookies & milk at bedtime). Will definitely try to stay here again!

Located in a stucked corner of Downtown Charleston that reflects the Charm, Elegance, and History. All within the French Qtr - Harbor- Battery area of downtown only two blocks from Market Street. Five Star service, Staff and amenities abound! Truly way to many good things to say without writing a documentary! We found our spot!

Our stomachs were especially happy

Posted Feb 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The bed and linens were extra comfortable. We loved the free breakfast delivered to our room. The wine and cheese service was perfect after a day of walking Charleston and gave us a chance to refresh before dinner. The coffee and milk service at night was also a sweet treat. We had a couple nice conversations with the bell hop/ door men. They provided excellent directions and restaurant recommendations.
