Nice place to stay for the price

Posted Sep 21, 2014
I had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was great besides a couple ant looking bugs that got all over my wife's candy and I feel like they got over by offering free breakfast but ending it at 9am that was stupid! Also I was never told an additional 25$ would be charged for safety deposit which has still not been returned after a day and a half. Other than that great place to stay

We didn't end up sleeping in this hotel. We booked a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room. It was very dirty and obviously smelled of smoke. Health reasons prevented me from staying in the room. When we spoke to the front desk they gave us our money back and we stayed else where.

It was ok for the intent of my trip intent.

It was more like staying in someone's apartment rather than a hotel. Had full kitchen with a dishwasher that was missing the bottom rack and dried detergent at the bottom. The ceiling fan in the living area did not work. Downstairs was cold and upstairs was hot and stuffy due to poor air circulation..the couch back was gross and the floors were stained. Wall paper was beginning to separate from the wall.

Little outdated and worn.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nice housekeeping staff.
Cons: Landscaping and rooms need some TLC.
Location: Lots of shopping nearby with Northwoods Mall and across the highway.
You will miss the entrance if not paying attention. There was a strange smell in the check-in area. Front staff ok. $25.00 per day charge for incidentals that will be refund upon checkout. Hot Tub out of order, looked like it had been for a while. Hotel building and landscaping getting worn and could use some updating. Buildup of mud in our parking spot almost cause us to fall, thankful was able to grab car. Room clean but once again time for some TLC. Broken tiles in bathroom and dingy in spots. No cleaning of room on day 2 of our 4 day staff, just a person stopping by to see if we wanted clean towels. No info in room about the hotel offerings. TV remote broken on back, held together with tape. Really nice and polite housekeepers though. Didn't get a chance to try hot breakfast but it looked nice and there were lots of people in there.

Charleston, relatively close to beaches/downtown

Staff weren't great. I left the hotel around 8am each day, made sure there wasn't a "do not disturb" sign on the door. When I returned around midnight each day the room hadn't been cleaned and no one would answer the phone at the front desk. Also the air was stuck at about 65 degrees and I couldn't make it any warmer. I asked about it but maintenance never showed up.

Pros: The location
Cons: Some upgrades
Location: The mall
The room was decent. The staff was pleasant. The continental breakfast was just like others as well.

Property looks like an apartment that was converted to a hotel. Room were well appointed and clean but the overall facility was quite dated. The view of Home Depot wasn't great but the property is conveniently located near the freeway. Service was pretty good until we attempted to attend the on-site breakfast. Although we got there a half hour before the end of breakfast, the food was already gone and they made no attempt to refill the containers. Not a bad value for the price but a little updating would clearly help.

Took my kids with me. Felt like an apartment. Better than a motel.

The worst hotel experience I've had

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Our first room had an outside entrance with a 3" hole in the bottom of the door, where rodents and sorts of things would easily get into. There were leaves and dead bugs on the floor. We asked to change rooms, which the staff did, but the next room was even filthier. Holes in the carpets, torn furniture, hair in the bedsheets, and black smudges in the door and light switches. We cancelled our 2nd night.
